Hey guys, brand new to the site. I just bought my banshee used, a 98 with everything. The first ride was awesome. I come home, and start to clean it off. A cop pulls up and gets out of the car. I live in Colonie, New York, a suburb of Albany. He tells me that they got a complaint of ATV noise and it was obviously me. So he says that in Colonie, they passed a law saying that it is illegal to ride or even start an ATV within a thoulsand feet of any house, even if you have their permission. A thousland feet if u think about it is 3 football fields. That limits my use to just about no where. So he takes down all my information on my quad, where i live, and even what color clothes im wearing!! He says that everone gets one warning, which i just got, and next time they tow it. Im also underage, 15, and he said that my mom could go to jail because of that(another town rule). What can we do guys?? is that legal that they can do something like that? Are there any lawyers on our side??? Our land is being taken away every day and we have no place to go. please help
