Keep us updated.... im very interested... I thought ive been polishing thsi whole time... hah.. I cant them them smooth enough to get mirror polishing.. What in teh hell do you all use to get it so smooth!! Man!

God damn man, now i feel like a loser... Why did i post my pics... lol.. How do you get them so smooth?? so that you can polish them?? I can never get a chrome shine, just one of those dull, but doable shine.. Give me some pointers.. i lvoe polishing... I've been doing it all weekend non-stop! Cheers

Nice Picture Hey Nugshee, I was planning on doing the whole carb till; i looked at all the small crevices.. lol...so i did both bowls and cleaned the carbs and put them back together.. but who knows... it may happen when i get bored again Ill post pics later of the finished result... maybe.. Haha, not my banshee... I know the guy that owns it tho.. Mines all torn down right now, but when its done ill change the pic back... I dont wanna put pieces of my quad as an avator... lol.. Heres a larger pic fo the bike tho, its pretty cool, im thinking of doing hwat he did... theres no rear fenders at all..

Nope, what are they? roloc disks? they go on teh dremel or a grinder..?? Im confused lol, all i really use is steel wool and sand paper and mothers and a dremel or my hand... It seems to work pretty good. I like to know that im puttin my own sweat into it... I dont like other people doin it for me, unless that is fi ti takes 60 hours...

Hey. started paintin the frame, and ran outa paint so i started polishing I cant get enough of it... I went down today and got a dremel with those little polish wheels! And damn thiose thigns go fast! Heres what i did in a half an hour: Left Carb Bowl (Not Done), Right Carb Bowl (Done) I used the demel sander thingy, then 80 grit sand paper, then 40 grit sand paper, then this reallllly tiny tiny grit wet sand paper. Then i polished with dremel. Its alot of fun! Tell me what you think? Cheers

yeah, this paints very durable, patined my work trailor, a little quad trailor, with teh same kidna paint, same prep and all. Its nice... Well, i went down to buy my other cans of that paint today, and guess what!? there out! i went to 20 stores around here and no one has my color... What a dragg. So i had to custom order the stuff... Be here wed. i guess... So im workin on teh cabs instead , look at the enw post, called Polished Carbs!

I also bought paint from auto zone, just yesterday, tired of that old grey. Doing a ground up, and i couldnt afford a pc, so i got primer, primer sealer, and duplicolor paint (laquer based, made me worried) and duplicolor clear coat, (acrylic) and the stuff worked great. Two coats of primer, primed it then wet sanded, primed it again. Then Primer sealed it, two coats. Then painted it, 2 or more coats. Then clear coated it, two or more coats. Sounds complicated, buty it can be easiliy done if you have a whole day. I ran outa paint, so i couldnt completly finish my parts today. But heres it so far: First Coat First Coat In Progress Final Coat, Under Flash Final Coat, No Flash Final Coat That Paint is pretty damed good with all the prep and clear coat after... I think it will be better than pc, i can touch it up whnever i want What do you think of the color? These pctures look a tad bit dull, it has some metallic in it...

ohhh, i wouldnt do timing if i were you. I did it, and the bike got too damned hot!!!

Hey, thanks for the input. The more ilook at teh pictures it doenst really shine, but it does when you look at it. But to answer your question BigRed, all i used was steel wool and mothers! Sounds stupid, but if you have tarnish on your case, it takes it right off, put 4 and a hlaf hours on it and it look pretty decent. I will never compare to meats thoe, hes a great artist. Cheers

Meat Head inspired me to polish some stuff on my engine, so of course, i satrted with the top case At first i thought it would take me like 2 days, but i came up with it in 4 and half hours! Its not like Meat Heads artwork but give it a look!! Heres what i came up with: Before - All dirty, not polished After - Other side, but you get the picture Top - The Top Side, aint it purrty!? Sorry i didn't have the top picture of it before, i totally forgot, i was so excited to get this done. Tell me what you think!? Is it a good start? Cheers

I say they keep the plastics the same, but put a 450cc, with powervavled exhause like the rz350's!
