  2. Thanks for the info from both of you. It was a big help...
  3. I'm new to the two stroke world, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I purchased a 98 Banshee in August of this year and it ran like a raped ape. I mean it starts on the first kick and won't keep the front wheels on the ground. Now in the cold Michigan weather it is hard to start and it doesn't like to idle you have to keep reving the motor. Also when your riding it has a definite bog when you jump into the throttle but then runs fast after the bog. It also will sometimes backfire when you let out of the throttle. I assume it needs to be rejetted for cold weather or the air screw needs adjustment. But not really sure what to do or where the air screw is. Also are 2 strokes more sensitive to weather changes than a 4 stroke? I ride with all 4 strokes and they didn't have a problem this weekend with the cold. Mods for your info - Pro Circuit Pipes and Silencers, Bored 40 over with about 12 hours on the rebuild, UNI filter w/ lid on, and stock carbs. Also used gas I bought in September and I use Klotz Super Techniplate oil 32:1 mix Thanks for your help
  4. I hear ya. That is exactly what I said after I bit it. "I didn't repect the power of the SHEE" It is unlike any other quad on earth, Sheer Power and Excitement. Thanks...
  5. Beginning of August I convinced my wife and then bought a 1998 Banshee. I've owned and rode quads before but this was different, a Banshee, something I've always wanted. I was excited waiting for Laborday weekend so I could ride my Banshee for more than a stroll around the yard. It was the beginning of labor day weekend and I pulled out the Banshee and rode for an hour. Then this is where everything changed for me. I was in a race with a friend who was on a CR 125 dirtbike. I had a rolling start then shifted in second and bliped the throttle and the Banshee stood straight up on me. I rode the wheelie down but somehow went straight into a ditch. I shot forward over the handlebars and from what I was told. My Banshee flipped forward twice before landing upside down. I ended up with a hairline fracture on my left wrist and a bunch of deep scrapes on my back. The Banshee ended up with handlebars bent in 3 places, a bent front rim and a front tire with two puncture holes in the sidewall. That ruined my hoilday weekend but now I can't wait to heal and get the Banshee in working order so I can ride her again.
  6. I could use some front rims and tires if you have any? billboles@ameritech.net
  7. mcaf29 I hope you and your family doing well and there's not too much damage. All of the hurricanes that have been going through Fla. is just unreal. Take your time in getting back with me on the tires and rims.
  8. Looking for front wheels and tires, stock or aftermarket. I tore up a rim and tire last weekend.
  9. mcaf29 I'm interested in the douglas front rims and holeshot tires. Do you still have them?
  10. I just saw it the other day and thought it looked really good but my buddy didn't agree.
