  1. Going for the first or crank on new motor and trans what's the best way to break the rings in? Do i need to change trans fluid after first ride? Do i need to re-torque head like on a car engine? and should i run my gas alittle more rich on oil then usual to start? thanks

    WISH ME LUCK (first build)

No need to change the mixture for breakin....Fire it up, make sure nothing is leaking (coolant, gear oil). Let it run until the coolant is barely warm. Kill it, go drink a 6 pack. Repeat this process a couple of times before riding it. Check bolt/hose clamps. When you do ride it, don't go WOT for the first tank. Also, don't let it idle for long periods. After that first tank, ride it like you stole it. Be sure to get in a couple of plug chops to double check your jetting. Have fun.

  2. I don't think I would be banking on a bad o-ring. I used to run a 17cc dome and ran VP Red due to the compression. When I was running pump gas I ran a 21cc dome. I think anything less then a 21cc dome would require at least a mix considering where you ride unless your running a higher exhaust port. I think it could likely be a hole in a piston based on the information posted.

    I'm thinking he burned a piston......Probably detonation. We'll see.

  3. i have stock 87 a arms and a front sprocket nut and washer a new oil fill cap and new head bolts and a set of brake pads. The head bolts and brake pads are MIA. But I just moved so I need to go through some boxes to find it all.

I'm sure I left something out...Bike starts easy, idles great and runs excellent. Has only had 110 octane and Klotz R-50 @32:1. Looking to move this one and finish my street legal hot rod. Would consider trade for a 70-81 Camaro, Late 70's Malibu,Vega/Monza Drag Car, Altered Drag Car or 67-72 Chevy Truck. Asking $4200 for bike or $4500 w/ Comp Cut Padla Brat's and Front Dune Tires. I can be reached at HotRod72@Gmail.com. Bike is in Central Oklahoma.
