I run those on all my bikes up at French Creek and Fall River where the riding is vary soft wet or dry and they work extreamly well. They tend to throw down half the hill behind you but you definatly get up it.

I was wondering the same thing also. I've never been on the dunes yet but I'm planning on going on a trip next month. I run 12-44 right now for trail riding. I would imagine I would need more wheel spin for the sand. I'd like to know what combo others are riding with.
