  1. Well here it is another week or two later. Guess what, STILL NO PIPES. Fuckers. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE ASSHOLES! I called a little while ago and the jackass at the other end says "they should be here tomorrow." Here is at there end. WTF? I ran him a ration of shit about there service and he says hold on. Comes back a minute later and changes his story to they will be at your place today. Those dumbasses don't even know if their parts are coming or going. What a bunch of hosers. I did manage to get a tracking number from him. At least he could read numbers. Says I'll get them tomorrow. I told the jackass that I was very unhappy with their shitty service and that I would never do business with them again. That asshole hung up on me! What a piss poor company. I hope they go out of business soon and they all end up on the streets.
  2. I ordered a set of bill's pipes from them that they have "in stock." That was a load of crap. Week and a half later I call to see where they are, guess what. They don't even have them yet! "Well the pipes are there, but the silencers aren't. We think they'll be in tomorrow maybe. Thanks sir." That's the bullshit I get. My local shop could have gotten them in in two days for $60 more. I think I should have just sucked it up and spent the extra money. Piss on Goldenwest cycle for any future business from me.
  3. Well I got the top end done and shee runs pretty good now. I switched to Klotz r50 oil at 40:1. I installed 2 25 fin coolers, engine ice, and a temp gauge. Shee runs very cool now. 160- 170 while trail riding. Takes a while to come up to temp too. Funny thing is my compression per my gauge is still 90 lbs. I checked my gauge with one on my snowmobiles that i rebuilt last year. Sled should be at 125lbs, new gauge reads 90. The shee should be at 120 lbs or so now. DO NOT EVER BUY A $15 COMPRESSION GAUGE SET. I thought it sounded too good to be true. The shee still needed rebuilt even though the gauge was wrong. The piston to wall clearance was huge and there was a lot of scores on the pistons. I ended up with the needle in the stock groove, 210 mains, stock pj's, and the snorkel removed. Seems a little rich on top yet. That's all gonna change is about a week anyway due to new bills pipes. Thanks for all your help! Woody
  4. I finally got my shee back together and running right. Time to Tweak it. I'm looking at buying a set of Bills pipes. On their jetting reccomendation page for the shee it says to use Dynojet needles pn: 19-4320. This pn is the whole jet kit for around $80. Does any one know if I can purchase the needles individually and if so where and what's the part number? Are the dynojet needles really any better or different than stock? I hate to spend $80 on a bunch of jets that may not be what I need. Any idea what mains they include with the kit? Also where is the best place to buy the pilot jets? Thanks for any help. Woody
  5. Sorry about the double post on this issue. I started off with the jetting problems before I discovered the low compression. I think putting my air box lid back on richened it up enough to fix that issue. I didn't want to mix a jetting issue in with the repairs and mods section and get told to take it to the jetting section. One problem led to the discovery of another. Thanks, Woody
  6. Thanks for the info. 89-92lbs is on both cylinders. 70 degrees f now. The impeller looks ok, still stock. I have a pd impeller already on the way and a pair of 25 fin inline coolers. The jetting may be ok. I've been fighting with it for a few weeks now. I have stock pipes, pro design foam filter and base, stock carbs, and boyesen power reeds. I'm at 210 on the main with the airbox lid on and slightly modified by accident.. It now has a palm sized hole near the snorkel. The plugs look ok on the porcelain, but the ring that the ground strap connects to is only brown 2/3 of the way around. I read somewhere that this means I am still a little lean? The reeds instructions claimed that it would richen all circuits. 200 mains are stock, how can 210 still be too lean with the reeds? Thanks for the help. Looks like it's time to shell out some more bucks. Woody
  7. I have an 99 shee that is running at 89-90 psi on a warm to hot engine. Is this too low? Will this result in overheating? I can get it to puke antifreeze on my leg after 3 to 4 miles of moderate road riding. Head gasket is new, so it's not leaking. I'm at 670ft elevation, .020 over. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm beginning to have a love - hate relationship with my shee. I'd love to ride her and I'm beginning to hate working on it. Thanks Woody
  8. I have a new to me 1999 shee that is giving me fits. It's bored .040 over, boyesen two stage reeds, pro design foam filer and base, no air box lid, stock carbs, stock pipes, 93 octane mixed at 60:1 with amsoil 100:1 oil, ngk br8es plugs, 92lbs compression on both cyls(is that a little low?), 670ft elevation, and about 70 deg F. I thought I have had the jetting set pretty close a few times but my shee keeps overheating after a 3.5 mile around the block ride. I'm not a real big fan of hot antifreeze running down my leg. I'm running stock pilots 2.25 turn out, needle in 3rd clip pos, and 210 mains. The plug color looks light honey brown on the electrode insulator. Shee runs great all the way up until wot. Feels like it loses a little power. If I back off to 3/4 throttle shee picks up and runs stronger. I'm thinking that my overheating problem may be related to my jetting issues. I have flushed the cooling system and replaced the antifreeze with a new 50/50 prestone mix. My impeller is stock, but in good condition. I have seen that the water is flowing in the radiator. I have also installed a new head gasket and de carbonized the head. Any input on my jetting or overheating would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Woody
