  1. Here's a little back ground on this friendly call out.

Tedder & I have been talking about a grudge race for a long time now. It has never seemed to work out for many different reasons & may not work with this call out. I retired from riding/racing quads in 2013 & said the only reason I would get back on one is for this race. As for anyone else, it was mainly directed at another good friend in TX. but it's still open for anyone else.

Signed, Fat old man with a slow quad looking for a race.

    alright alright alright..............

  2. It's funny, well not really, but will be to you guys, the hole reason I picked the boss noss kit over others is for all the reasons you guys say it's junk, now I'm guessing you guys must really think I'm dumb, but hear me out, so you can try for a second to understand my way of thinking, I thought being new to running noss, not haveing to worry about bottle pressure, fuel pumps, fuel pressure etc. I am not for one minute saying I made the rite choice, just stating why I made the choice I made.

I thought the constant same 300psi no matter what the bottle pressure is, would make it much easier for a guy with little exp.

I guess it seems like such a great idea, only to the inexperienced?

I'm not no serious racer, like some of you, just a guy who loves fucking with this shit, probably even more then I enjoy racing it!

I guess after I use it, it will help me understand more.

I didnt refer to it as junk. i have never used it. i read about the boss kits years ago. And decided to go with nitrous express. i bought the kit new. Installed on my asphalt 358cc cub.

Worked great, until I got a little greedy on a cool fall night at San Antonio Raceway in 2007. I melted a piston and damaged the nikasil at abot 1000ft mark, running 1/4 mile.

Learned a expensive/valuable lesson on ignition timing and to much juice... It was a hell of a ride to about 1000ft...... :whoa:

  3. Deuce above I ment to say, "I believe in what you say"

Sounded like I was being a dick, in the way I said, I believe in what I say, lol.

Just didn't want to be misunderstood.

I can appreciate the comments, if it's what I want to hear or not.

    No worries.

  4. I would buy a new twin cylinder nitrous express kit. Most a your questions are answered in the previous replies. If you want to try a different installation location, other than what has already been mentioned, then that is up to you.

You are getting the same anwsers in open forum as you did in my pms. Nitrous Express has a fuel soleniod for methanol. They have a excellent power sports tech line for assistance.

I have been using nitrous on my banshee since 2006. Current top end has been together since 2008. Spend the money and do it right the first time.

It will be much cheaper than melting it down, with a questionable set up. Just my opinion, which isnt much.

Good luck with whichever way you chose to go

    Jimmy

  5. Staging beams are about ~2 inches off the ground. To me those plastic side pieces/frame is higher than that so it shouldn't affect the lights. In door cars we have to maintain a minimum ground clearance rule to avoid 'holding' the lights on & getting a 'head start'.

Bike ran at Dallas raceway several months back, against Potters (killa) turbo bike. It didnt run anywhere near a 5.30. High 5.7's and 5.8's.

Still fast either way. My little 4mill dont have anything for it........... :(

  6. Don't think it's my place to say what his times were. Does it matter? He was running with the 3 fastest cars there but bracket racing is way more than being the fastest.

No the times do not matter. I just wondered if things went as I expected...................... Bryan, Ted and crew kicked ass............ As usual.........

And had a great time doing it..........

  7. I am a complete idiot.......... But the sand to asphalt translation seems to still be lagging many many years later, in some aspects. I know you have opened my eyes to many things. But more is not always better. if you want more revs..... the higher you go on compression the less you are going to get on the rpms. Just my opionion. i have never ran any motor over 165psi. that being said. i know i spray mine and manipulate them in other ways as well. but, I rev them WAY over your spec. so, just to throw it out there......... maybe you are over compressing the fact ? ................ you want revs............ high compression makes a strong bottom............ a banshee motor does not naturally have a strong bottom...... give and take sir....... just saying.....maybe this is being over processed ?

  8. Hey Mark, Going to come play with us at Thompson? lol

Don't mean to hijack your thread. Just haven't heard from you in a while and wanted to say HI !

We use $25.00 K&N knock offs that Jeff at FAST RACING carries.

Ted is just giving away those go fast secrets again....................... banghead
