K guys, tonight I got to get some time in on her and I ended trying to bleed the rear brake. I pumped & pumped the lever and I got a few sputters and then nothing I rechecked my line and it is fine, I checked the two hookups and they are fine and clean, I tried again, same problem. I am removing my PussBrake, could that in anyway be a or the part of my problem? I did not receive my block off yet but I did have it off then put it back. I am really stumped here cause a single hydraulic brake should not be confusing me this bad. Could I have munged up the piston in the caliper? I am really wound at the moment, I need to finalize the tinkering on my Shee by Saturday and I am behind in my mind. Any more type of help/critisism/jokes and or absolute laughter would be great, I am just brain farting over here! Scott

Thanks again guys. Aparantly the beer did'nt get all the air out. Or the beer caused the dumbass to not get all the air out, whichever. I will double check it again tonight and kick myself in the ass. Thanks, Scott

I got all the air out. Might have I left some dirt or such around the piston? When I think about it theres not much to it, I'll just take it apart and make sure its clean and redo it again. I just was'nt sure if there was a little "thingy" I could have forgotten. Thanks sredish, Scott

Last night I replaced my rear pads and put on a new brake line. All went good I thought but once all was back together I tested the brakes just by rollin the wheels in place and pumpin the lever. They seemed to work fine then I tried again a lil later and it seems that I have to "prime" it by pumping the lever a few times till the caliper actually clamps hard. Prior to "priming" I could spin the wheels with a little force just from me while the brake was locked up. What the hell did I do? It was late and I had a few "man-pops" in me but damn. If anyone knows of something I may have missed or fudged up let me know. Thanks! Scott

This post is a little in the future but I can tell you that QSM has the best damn service as far as calling in and ordering without a doubt. The man knows his shit and is happy to help you with anything. I am expecting my arms in a few days. Takes awhile but I am sure I will have an outstanding product. MULLET made a perfect statement "great price" also. Scott

Thanks kenr74, my common sense had that idea pegged but I was just curious. I do alot of trail riding and I love to get her dirty. But thats the thing, if your in the mud & shit it shoots you right in the face in a turn its makes for one helluva tear off change in cornering motion. I also love riding, one of Gods creatures and few from Yamaha But I still don't enjoy getting more dirty than I could without a cut in my bitch. I have never ran dunes though I would love to but in PA there are not any. But the Q was " what can cutting your plastic do?" Maybe I am still being an assface? Hey man thanks for the reply! Scott

I have been surfin around alot lately on the site and noticed that alot of you boys are running with cut fenders. I understand the MX side on the thing I think, but the shots of the boys all caked out in the mud with the fronts shaved off? I am fairly new to all this and my Shee is not a "complete unit" yet (July 4th, 04) and I have ran a yz250 on track & trail alot but why is it that ya'll cut the fenders off? Don't you get caked in shit? Does it help for aerodynamics? I can say that I know it looks extremely trick but like I said, why? Feel free to bombard me with ucontrolled bomb throwing posts if need be, but I just don't see it yet. I also hope this is the right thread, I would hate to piss off the HQ braintrust that has helped me so much. In the next week I will be posting the machine that all you great guys helped me "sort out" and build up, I hope that my Shee will be to your liking. Just rant on boys.......................... Thanks Scott

Thanks for the info Meat It looks like I am just gonna take it easy and get down to some testing, thats the only way for me to find out what Shee wants, needs. Thanks again. Scott

Ok ya'll I am almost done with the Shee mods and I am at the moment waiting on my A-Arms till I finish the suspension off but heres some Q's I installed a Noss head with 20cc domes, my compression jumped to 150. After that I put on my new stator and went +4. I have not checked comp. lately but my question is, might I have to run a higer octane fuel than 93? I have read that if your not over 160 then high octane is a waste but also that with an advance in timing I am fearing detonation. Is there a "rule of thumb" as far as this topic goes or is it all individual? I am really curious cause with all the time, effort and cash I pumped into my Shee I dont wanna fudge something up. Scott

I agree with you mullet about the yamalube. Is it nessicary to run that ratio with a synthetic say Klotz in your mind. I was thinking of using the same ratio 32:1, might I find a lil trouble in that? Scott

Thanks sredish, I was just being curious. Scott

I have been reading that alot of you guys are using the v-force reeds, I myself installed boysen two stage carbon fibres. I am just curious as to the difference, if anyone else has tried these, had bad experiences, etc. Scott

Yeah, it did. Although after my 1st plug test I did not want to retry again, fear, go figure. Scott

Yeah J.J, thats why I am lost. 340's and my plugs look as though 10 more mins. to melt down. I am just scatching my head, my pilot would not be much of a help in this situation, right? Could there be to much/not enough air? I have been going over & over what all I have done & I can't think of a damn thing I may have done wrong, not that I could'ny have. Man I am losing it, I'm gonna crack open a cold one and just try to relax. Thanks Scott

Ok heres my boggle. I am running an 04, pro circuit plats & silencers, boyseen 2stage c.f reeds, pro flow air filter w/moded box, boost bottle, 32:1 yamalube, 340 mains, pilot screw 2.5 turns outward, dyno needle w/ clip @ 4. At the moment the rest of what makes shee run is stock. That all said, I changed from 300 mains to 340 this week to eliminate my "bog" @ 5th & 6th, I figured "to lean". Now my plugs are damn near at "death white" only a little tan on them after a WOT test. For some reason I am at a loss for brains, any info would be great. Next Q, I am planning on installing the 200w stator & adj. timing plate, maybe go +4, will I have to rejet again? Should I just wait till all is installed or ......... thats my problem, I am confusing myself. Oh yeah, West PA (2,000 + ft) and it was quite warm & humid today. Thanks guys, Scott

Any of you guys know of a web site, catalog, etc. that you can search through that has an array of different products for use with a Shee? I am having no luck on my own so I thought I would bring it to the masses. I am looking to learn some more and to check out some new ideas and products that are out there. Any info would help. Thanks in advance

Thanks guys for all the attention and info I am not positive on the direction I am going to go as of this moment but I will let ya'll know. I am sure I'll have a few more questions for ya down the line. Thanks again

Ok guys I am new here and I am looking for some helpful info on my airbox. 1st, which is the better route - dual k&n filters or a single? Is there anyway to modify the actual "box"? I do run in a good amount of wet terrain. At the moment all I got is the stock filter in the box, lid on but funnel removed. Shee rips now but I know I can do a little tinkering and haul some more a$$. Any info would be helpful. Scott
