That was the problem, the last time I rode it felt like the engine wasn't delivering the power to the wheels, so I checked the oil and it was low, not even registering on the dipstick. I went to the Yamaha dealer and he sold me some yamalube 10-w30. The guy didn't seem to know much, he was more of a salesman than a mechanic. I thought that 10-w30 seemed a little lite for the gearbox, so I figured that I would seek some real knowledge before I drained and put it in. Thanks for all the great advice. I can't wait to get out riding.

Thanks for the reply. The Yamaha shop sold me some Yamalube 10w-30, but I thought that it was rather light to be used in the tranny. I wanted to know before I changed it and went out and started terrorizing on it. Thanks again.

what kind of oil do u put in the banshee gearbox? what weight, and how much? thanks

I was wondering what kind of oil, that you are supposed to put in the gear box, weight and how much? just bought my Banshee and want to change all the fluids so that it will run prestine. thanks
