Having the parts CLEAN and oil free is the big issue. If you don't, the finish will not come out nice and the coating is a bitch to strip off once it is baked.

I got an 88 Suzuki lt250 that I use for drag racing. It rips pretty good for a "zuki" -
I would like to see what the judges need to see to give a rider a "10" ! maybe a blow job in mid air with a 4 foot dildo up the riders ass??? c'mon X-games judges !!! Get a clue . (just my opinion)

What I think he means by expensive is when I first started buying alky, I used to goto the performance store and buy it 5 gallons at a time. I used to pay $40- $45 a 5 gallon drum. much more expensive. Like I said , it's much more practical to buy it 55 gallons at a shot. It'll be much cheaper and as long as the drum is sealed tightly it'll stay fresh. Also if you think 55 gallons it too much , then go in with a couple of buddies and split the drum.
-
I 55 gal. drum of alky is rather cheap. It goes on market price. Last I checked about 3 weeks ago, the local place that I get my drums said $150 for 55 gals. Last year it was $180. As for keeping it, as long as the drum is sealed tight , It should last a long time.

A big HELL YEA ! on the T-shirts I was also thinking that the altitude probably had a factor on the way it was running. I can't wait til next year. But knowing me I'll hafta tear the zuki down and do some more mods to make it a little faster. Hell, It's only money right ? Joe
-
I was told the same and if you look at the website it is posted ! Same date next year !! I'll be there. Yo Luke ! Your shee ran pretty decent just gotta do a little tweaking on the jetting. Oh by the way , we're gonna get T-shirts made up for next year saying "5 MPH Bitches ! " LOL!
-
Very well !!!!! one third place and 2 - 1st place trophies !!! That little bugger ran it's ass off ! I was really impressed with the performance of it. Now I gotta get the Q-tips out and start cleaning it ! LOL

The drag races started at 2:00p.m. in between the rain showers that moved thru. The track was pretty bad . Real bumpy at the shut off, so my back tells me today (ouch!) Post those vids and pics. I wanna check them out. Hey Steve, I heard you stopped by our place up there but I missed you! Joe
-
Better watch out for the zuki this year !!! LOL.... Steve, I'll see you up there. Just packing all my stuff now . Planning on being there about noon tomorrow !!
-
Post the video if you get a chance, I want to check it out. I was gonna go on sunday with my quad but, I didn't have enough time.
-
This Sunday I hear there are gonna be a bunch of quads Drag Racing ! I was Talking to Dave from East Coast ATV and he said he'll be there. You guys hafta see his new drag quad !! The paint work itself is incredible. I myself can't make it this weekend but next race I'll be there.
-
Damn !! I might hafta put skid plates on my quad. I guess I'll bring my roto tiller up. LOL It seems to me that they would have been better off just doing grass drags.
-
Haven't been there, I generally go to ATCO Racceway in Jersey. The weather hasn't been too good this year, every time I make plans to go it rains. P.S. I like my juice without pulp !
-
I have a feeling this is gonna be a BYOD (bring your own dirt) event. I think I'm gonna bring a set of home made wooden paddle wheels for most efficient traction ! LOL Gee, I wonder if they'll let me try'em out on the dyno ?
-
Do you have any pics of the drag track yet ? I need to get an idea of how the track is gonna be ahead of time so I can make some adjustments to my seat cover and figure out how I'm gonna style my hair for maximum Look !
-
hope they bring a back-up dyno... I break it this time...LOL
-
me too ...it's gotta be better than a concrete track with marbles !!
-
It must be nice ! LOL ! I'm gonna hafta get a fund raiser together just to pay for my gas!

1/8th mile......jr. slicks or american racers?
mgty3whlr replied to 96bansheepilot's topic in Drag Forum
Most of the guys are running the american racers. They seem to hook up better than the slicks. NYUK had a set of hoosier slicks on his shee and couldn't hook up to save his life but when he went to the A/racers it was a night and day difference. As for weight the A/racers are pretty light. Gearing, I'd go with the taller tire because you'd be suprised at how fast you run out of gear at the top end. -
Hey, when are you heading to quadfest?? I'm planning on leaving my house Friday morning and getting there by noon for some trail riding before the drags.
-
I sitll figuring out what tires I'm gonna run. I have the realitors. but still undecided. With the turf tamers, you took out 3 rows and left 2, or was it the other was around? Have you been at quadfest to see how they are doing with the track? I hope it's not too hard packed like last year, or I'll hafta bring my slicks ! LOL ! Joe
-
Hey BLUESHEE03 ! are you still using the turf tamers for the dirt drags or something new? JOE
-
Well.... got my tickets today !!! I was checkin out the website, after july 1st the tickets go up to $40 a piece !! gotta get 'em now... I guess there isn't a limit on the amount of people this year. Last year they limited the amount of people to 1600 (if I remember). Who's goin'??? It's gonna be a blast ! Joe
