on the forum listed above someone talks about the notches in the top of the slides. he says its normal to idle off the right side if the left side carb has 2 notches, and the right side only has one. has any one else heard of this, and is it true? the bike runs fine, when i ride, it just bothers me to see only one side smoking at idle. thanks

Thanks, everyone for the info. I changed my oil, and found it a little low. I run motul transoil 10/30, because thats what the dude i got the bike from suggested. It seems to shift noticable smoother, but i have yet to get it to the beach to see if its really better. I also got a hold to Boonman, and i think I'll send my shift star up to him. Dub

I'm new to this, so sorry if my questions are remedial. I just noticed today that one side of my exhaust is pushing substaintally more than the other. I read on one of these foroms about someone with the same problem, but can't locate it now that i need it. Seems to me it's in the carb, and the only adjusting i've done is to the air adjustment screws on eache carb. I'll try to make sure the carbs are syncronized next, and any other info is appreciated.

i just got this bike on trade. it runs fine, and shifts fine under normal use, but when i try to drag, i struggle to hit 3rd and 4th. i can't accelerate fully and go through the gears, i have to let off for it to fall in to gear. any suggestions, i dont know where to start. thanks
