Tore down the topend and found something I think might be wrong. There is a triangular burn patteren starting at the spark center and running to the out side edge. Shouldn't the domes be covered evenly with carbon? Piston tops are evenly covered and the cylinder walls are in perfect shape. Also, the rods are slightly loose and not just side to side. Is any play other then side to side tolerable? The big question is why did I tear it down. Has a bad sputtering problem when hot....changed nothing, just started doing it and keeps getting worse. All checked out good except for compression 125 and 130 with 22cc domes.
