are u runnin stock a arms if so DO ATTEMPT TO POWDERCOAT THEM they have a plastic bushing in the balljoint that will melt and then the arm will be junk ive seen lots of em melt when people say ill take my chances also do urself a favor replace the axel swingarm shock linkage steering stem a arm bearings and bushings that way u dont have to do it a week after u put it back together saves time

thanx for the replys guys i never thought about keeping the balljoints horizontal good idea by the way the steel im using is an eighth inch thick when i cut off the stock a arms i checked their thickness and they are thin as hell so i put a junk arm in a press and bent it it took 25 pumps after the press made contact and then i put in a peice of the square tubing and it took 41 pumps to bend it.... so im gonna try it if it works good if not oh well ill build more oh yea this is american steel too no chinese shit here J.J. whatever it was u said went way over my head

i have a friend who is going to build me a arms for next years race season i just wondered if i am missing any thing or anything to look out for as of now i have the stock bolt/bushing tubes from a set of stock arms 4 lonestar ball joints 15 feet of 1"x1" square tubing and other metal for gussets and shock mounts i talked to the local quad shop guy he said i should go +2 +1 some people say to go +2 no forward changes the reason i want to use square is that round tubing can kink the square has for main points of strength also id like to use my stock shocks but they say that would make it ride shitty id like to get a set of works triple rate shock with no rezzies because they shouldnt get that hot during ashort mx race so no need to spens the extra 2 bills let me know what u guys think

fix#1 trace that hose it leads back to the rezzie tank i shortened mine so that way it overheats hot coolant doesnt blow back on me it just dumps out on the swingarm fix#2 i got a coolhead and i havent had anymore overheating problems since then ive heard people say that coolheads dont make ur bike run any cooler but it sure made a difference on mine fix#3 do a search and find the thread on relocating the rezzie to under the radiator ove heard this cures that too

thanx for the ideas guys i went out and got sum gear saver this morning and put 2 quarts in and got her up and runnin after the rebuild i will try to post sum pics of it tomarrow or the next day its nice out thanx again
