  1. Ok yall, as much as I have fooled with this thing I guess I had a brain fart. I checked the compression last (that was stupid) my Vforce reed on the bad side of the Shee was missing/bent in I guess cause of it imploding, the piston lost half a ring, I hope on the impode it threw the other half out the pipe(still gonna check the case though). Unbelievably nothing happened to the cylinder wall. Thanks to all of yall who replied, big help.

  3. Unless I need to give any information on my mod's let me know cause I will just try to make this short. My 01 Shee has been running awesome the way I have it set up. I was goofing off while a friend of mine was stopped in front of me. I pulled the front brakes like I have done several times from a stop and just started rooting the dirt up for maybe a second. I then took off and my Shee started running like Sheeit. One side started popping/blowing back. I was able to make it back on one cylinder. I started the process of elimination when I got home. It wasn't the plug (even though the new one had a slight small purple spark). The k/n's were recharged (which I don/t think mattered), The front seal on the problem side of the exhaust blew out, I checked my carb and it was fine, I pulled my V Force Reed out and one of them was ripped in I guess from the blow back, it imploded to the inside and forwards. Shee was getting gas. I get alot of great information from these forums but this one has me dumb founded. The opposite side is fine but gets hot with the handicap of the other side. The only thing is I don't have is an ohm meter and I was wondering if the side I'm having the problem with is because the coil is cutting out for one side or if it could be my cdi. Please email me at Seven5959@aol.com with some possibilities or leave me a reply. I rely on these forums before questioning anyone.   4. Ok, I wasn't knocking the Banshee in the description cause I would rather hang out with my dead Shee than with my friends knocking it while on their 4 Bangers.   5. Hey banshee76179 and 0Banshee1 Yall's SHEE'S look SWEET, I haven't been through all of the post so I am not making light of any others but the personal scheme's yall have are Nice. Yall Stay Safe on those possessed freakin Shee's. I think mine needs a exersizm.
  6. gbf4ever, I almost have mine back together, the ideas from others on the forum are great but I had the same problem myself. I went with Candy Blue including the A arms. I also had crome powder coated to small parts to break up the solid color of just Candy Blue. I see that you stated your Banshee is all taken down so when you go back together with it, atleast have the cylinder jugs and head powder coated chrome which I also had a clear powder coat put over the Chrome. It gives a polished out look and then you would never have to polish it out which is a pain because I had to do that once. The banshee shops around here that I use and or the people I ride with thought it was impressive. My plastics are the yamaha blue but they are full bore. I was worried that it would clash with the Candy blue which is shot over the chrome coating but it didn't. I stayed with white lettering but changed the stile. I have seen alot of nice graphic sets out there to buy but I wanted something totally different. My seat is a dark blue with thin white flames along the sides and I had a pair of dice (black and white) towards the front of the seat in 3 dimensional look and the the main spot where your butt sits I had a medium size motise cross which is in white. Some might think it looks just ok but that is just what I came up with. Like I said the other post to your question are impressive also so maybe you can get some good ideas to make up your own scheme putting something together. I'd like to see it when it is finished so post your picture. What ever you decided to do atleast you have the King of Speed.
  7. Banchetta - Thanks, I moved the clip one down and that seemed to take some of the bog out of 1st. It still bogs some (like it use to before the extra mod's) but a buddy of mine that drags told me that is the nature of the beast. Not sure if he knows what he is talking about because he has his own mechanic on his quad. I was running it out the subdivision today to hit the hwy when the Sheriff's Office showed up to run radar on the main drag in the sub so I had to put it up. I did find that fourth pulled strong as heck and nearly flipped me off the bike. The front floated up w/o me noticing it at first. The lower gears I knew it was going to do that.   8. I appreciate the responses, I'll try changing the needle position and report back. Banchetta, I haven't ridden the Shee but about 10 times and after the few mods it really freakin screams and the area's I ride in only allow me to get into fourth and then I have to shut her down. I don't have anywhere to stretch it out unless I hit the hwy. Would strapping her down on my quad jack and run it out get me close to where I need to be on my mains or just leave them alone for the riding I do? Also do I really need the reed spacers?
  9. I live @ about sea level. When I bought my quad it had fmf fatties and i was told it had 270 or 280 mains. It did run rich due to the look of the plugs and it had a slight bog on take off unless i got the rpm's up. I just had a mild port job done, added delta v force cages/reeds, + 1/2" reed spacers and the quad doesn't quite want to idle, it bogs twice as bad unless raising the rpm's more but after taking off it freaking screams. It also starts up easy. I don't understand. The plugs look a light chocolate brown now. Any information would be appreciated. If it makes a difference i also put a cool head on w/21 cc domes.
