KX250

Can somone please help me I know this is not the place to ask about thumper stuff but i Know that u guys are the most knolegable around. I have a KFX400 and today when I was riding and all of a sudden I thought I ran out of gas because it gave me the typical blahh. When i fead gas. I think it is not getting fuel through the carb. cause as soon as I switch the pet cock to prime (where it free flows gas through the carb it runs also on res. it will run) As soon as i put the pet cock back on normal (on) it runs for about 5 min. then dies again. How does the 2 stroke bikes compare to the shee such as the KX250 CR250 and so on. Pretty much my question is (is there anything out there stock that will blow it away) and what quads will the shee blow away?

I was wondering about stock suspension for light jumping, compared to the kfx400. I noticed if I push my kfx alittle too much it bottoms out. Could u tell me stock kfx to a stock suspension which one is better for jumping. And also the preditor im told has very good suspension. Thanks

I have a KFX400 right now. A local shop has a complety redone 250r with powdercoated frame and pretty much every thing on it. My question is will i be sprry if i buy the 250r apose to the banshee. If I get the shee it will be brand new, On the other hand the 250r is a 89. Will I have problems with things breaking, which one will be better for me. I ride alittle MX and NO DUNES.

Yeah, I understand. But they all do it around here in the back country. It's a judgement call, like riding a bicycle with the intent to not come near a car in the time you are on the road. But now and then you have to plan an occasional car coming down the road. You are right, just plan your rides where you belong. I am taking my bike out to the rail trail, a paved road just for bicycles. And I usually take the dirt bikes to the woods where it is allowed, but I was just curious about the "occasional bad habit of a little jaunt here and there like the other rednecks do". All comes down to " don't do it". By the way, it IS actually within the law in WV. They want to change that though, and they should!! When I get my Banshee I will treasure the times I can ride her now and then and forget trying to make more out of it by riding on the street. Thanks for the very good advice!

Okay so what do you mean by checking your plugs. What do i do if i take it off the tralier and ride it for 5 min. and it fouls?

Well i dont mean 5 mph lugging. I ride mostly trails. I mantain a speed of about 15 to 20 and i dont lets the rpms raise too much. How do i know how much to adjust the setings and how do i know when to do it??

Okay but what happends with the temperature change. So just put 32:1 and i should be fine for lugging.

I most gonna buy a brand new shee. Now if I take it home and start fouling plugs whats the first thing to do. If I take it home and ride around slow and let my son ride it. Im gonna do mostly light riding. Friends of mine said you could tune it to run trails and never have a problem. How do I do it??

I went out to my bike shop today to take a look at my new baby. Secial Edition black all over. What do you guys think about about the Special Edition Shees. Could you tell me the years that they mad the Black and Red and Yellow and White. I want to get a new Shee but wanted to know the other options in colors besides the blue and white and white and black. Also what do I have to do when I pick up the shee. How do I tune it so I wont foul plugs for slow riding. Basically what im getting at is if I buy a shee new take it home and lug the balls off it what will happen??

Exactley thats all i do with the 250 is the feather the clutch. I never rode motorcross and the highest i ever jumped is a foot. But im intending to buy this banshee new and not put any after market parts on it. And also i am not a mechanic at all. Will i have problems. I cant work on shit.
