  1. I am trying to get my banshee jetted after making many mods. I went from stock to .020 over on cylinders, v-force reeds, T-5s with toomey jet kit, 21 cc domes, motion pro throttle, and pro flow air filter in box with no lid. I went riding at pismo beach last weekend (45-55 degrees) and thought I got it close to being jetted properly. I ran 310 mains, 1 clip up from bottom of needle on needle jets, and air screw out 1.5 turns, red line oil 32:1. I had good throttle response through all ranges (maybe a little lag through mid range compared to my buddies banshee) but the plugs seemed to be a little hot (light brownish/redish). My chrome pipes also had some blueing near the exhaust manifolds. Is this normal? How do you keep it cooler, I think that increasing my mains will make it rich, but I am not sure. Pulling the choke out one notch definently makes it run worse. I am not sure what i need to change but would be open ears to any oppinions/knowledge on the subject. I am going to sand mountain this up coming weekend, any suggestions? Highs in low 40s, lows in teens, and I think about 4,000 feet. Thanks
  2. thanks i appreciate it
  3. I feel stupid asking this question but does it matter which plug wire goes on which plug. Putting banshee back together tomorrow and didn't mark which wire went to right and left.
  4. I am hopefully going to get my banshee back together now after having the crank come apart and was wondering if i should be running race fuel. I had the crank welded and trued, and now have these mods; 21cc domes, vforce reeds, cylinders bored 20 over, k&n with no airbox lid, and T-5s. The guy who did my machine work recommended 50/50 race gas to 97 octane, is this needed? And also where should I start with my jetting? 1900 ft, 65 degrees. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. I was told today that T6s are only for a stock engine, that I would be wasting my time putting them on my quad and should use the T5s. IS THIS TRUE? I am in the process of rebuilding my 01 banshee. I had the crank trued and welded, cylinders bored .020 over, and had the head decked to 21cc. I am going to buy V force reeds and a set of toomey pipes.
