  1. I recently purchased a banshee that had not been cranked in about six months. I have gotten it running but it hates to crank when it is cold. The only way I can get it to start when it is cold is to leave the choke off, and hold the throttle about half way open. Usually when it does start to turn over, gas pours out of the right cylinder exhaust. When it finally starts to run it sounds like only the left side is running for a few seconds then it starts to run and idle fine. There are no problems if I cut it off and try to crank it again while it is warm. I am pretty sure that it is carburetor related but I don't have very much experience with them. Any ideas on what I should try to fix this? I am running the stock carbs.
  2. Thanks SDD & boonman. I changed the o-ring and it seems to have fixed it. Great job.
  3. Thanks. I will check that as well.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I have checked my clymer manual and I don't see an o-ring. I guess I will just have to remove the water pump and check it out.
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but is it an o-ring or an oil seal?
  6. I went to change the transmission oil the other day and noticed there was coolant in the oil. Is this from a head gasket that is leaking or would it be the base gasket? Or could it be both?
  7. Thanks. I thought that was it but I figured I would ask.
  8. I just bought a banshee a few weeks ago and I have some questions about wheels and tires. I was reading the clymer manual and the numbers they give for the tire size and wheel size don't make a lot of sense to me? It says the front rim is 10 X 6. What exactly does that mean? Sorry for the newbie questions.
