Well Right now i am 15, ride a blaster. I am almost 6 foot and about 150lbs. I am getting sick of my blaster so i want to move up to something alot bigger. MY trails i ushally ride i am in 5-6 gear on my blaster. I am looking to spend about $2700 (hopefully less) on a modded banshee. I have heard alot of people talking about how un-reliable they are. But then i have heard they are not. Which one of these is true? I have rebuilt the topend on my blaster many of times, How much harder is it on a banshee? thanks and if there is anything else i should know tell me..

Well, i found out that my uncle that i never met welds for a living. I already have many many blaster parts. I am thinking about building a blaster with a different motor! But anyways, i have searched alot and found alittle bit. What motor would you put in the frame? I am thinking about getting something thats air cooled. So can you help me throw around some ideas here? I plan on Some MX racing and Wide open riding. Ok, i have seached and searched for a DT200 topend..So forget about that. I dont really care about vibration, i mean i do, but it doesnt really bother me. I plan on putting some really heavy guessets on the frame. How about any couterbalanced engines? Looks like i am going to guesset the frame, line up the sproket, make new motor mounts, custom pipe. And maybe stetch the aarms? Or maybe extend the S-arm. YFS, in alother thread said look for engines like this: IYamaha WR250, YZ/WR250F, TT-R250, CRF/XR250R, XR400. Yea i know i need lots of parts But i think i can do it: I need Lower left aarm Axle carrier Rear tires Front tires and rims Seat. plastic Engine, carb, airbox Im not gonna hook up front brakes, only rear, so i need to make some custom rear brakes foot pegs Cant think of much else at the moment.

Actually, dont think i can do that! I will never switch over to honda. Maybe a raptor? Thats what i am thinking now. By next summer, do you think i can pick up a used raptor for around 3K, hope so.

Maybe i should step into the dark side and get a 400ex? I know they are really reliable, not as quick as the YFZ but still can keep up with it. And it will beat my buddies warrior. And it has electric start which is a Plus to me. How much do you think i can pick up a EX for?

Well i will be buying a used banshee this spring and have acouple of questions. When buying a used banshee, what do i want to look for? And how much did you buy/sell your used banshee for? I am looking at my local AutoRV and it looks like they can range from 2,600 to 4,600. thanks

Well, i dont plan on modding it myself, but if i find a modded one thats fine with me. And i have rode a warrior and hate it! way to heavy for my likeings. But i sold my aftermarket parts to buy a truck, But when i sold the aftermarkets, i asked for there stock parts in trade. so i still have alot of stock parts from when i first started modding my blaster. I am pritty set on a banshee now. The trails i ride are maily wide open. But i need to know, how reliable are they? and what kind of maintence do i need to do?

What do you mean by that? I plan on leaving the banshee all stock. I dont care if i can beat a YFZ or not, i just want to hang with one. Or is there a better choice to get something else for around $2,500? I love 2-strokes and never want to get a 4, but i dont know, might end up getting one. Also, how reliable are banshees? what kind of maintence do you have to do to it? And i wish i could just buy it, but my parents would kill me if i did! they would probly set it out by the road for like 1K and let me suffer watching it be sold.

HAHA ill remeber next time i want to go to jail to ask you guys how to. But thanks for the advice(atleast a few of you ) keep it coming. Also, i am pritty set on a banshee. But i do alot of trail riding, wide open trail riding maily, and also some steep hills and dirt roads. Well, i bought the truck for 6K, off my dad. He bought it for 11k and drove it for 2 years, then i bought it.And i had to sell alot of my aftermarket parts off my blaster to buy it. I know i need to obey my parents, but my blaster is getting to the point where it is way to small and is getting dangerous.

Well i might be getting a banshee. My buddy is getting a YFZ this spring, so i need something larger than my blaster. I was flipping threw my local auto RV and found a 2001 Banshee for 2,600!!! I have always wanted a bashee and now i might get one. I would probly sell my blaster for 1,200 or so. So that would give me about 2K to spend on a banshee. Plus i have tons of blaster and truck parts so that would give me a good $2,500. Now the big problem. Parents! My parents hate the idea of me spending money on my quad, rather than my dodge. My dodge is about perfect right now (performance-wise) And now i want a bigger atv with better brakes and more power. Any ways to talk my parents into buying a banshee? I told them that they have alot better brakes, and has alot more power. They dont understand that my blaster is getting too small for me. So what should i do? Thanks..... By the way..I am 15.

20in tire that fits on a 9in rim! dont care how bald, as long as you can stud them! Cheap! or a 22in tire or 18in tire!! Fast. thanks. I also have many parts to trade. NO BALOONS!
