  1. The time has come to sell the shee. Despite the age, it is been ridden very little. Much of the life of the shee has been spent sitting in my garage. Nothing is wrong with the operations of the shee, it will crank and ride great. I am selling it because I am moving out of state and grown out of riding it.

It is garaged at 42088 in western Kentucky. I would like $2800, but would entertain reasonable offers.

Various pics of the shee are available at http://www.geocities.com/fox73zz/quad.html If pics of anything else in more detail is wanted, I will get it.

I do not guarantee checking my email or thread daily because I do not have internet at my home. I will check it and answer any questions within 3 days. I will try sooner but I cannot promise it. Sorry about the inconvenience. I will be able to take calls though, 270-705-8685 till 10pm central time. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your phone number, I work in places where service is intermittent.

Following is a list of mods done and what is included. Again, any questions just ask. Thanks

  2. I have a set of straight paddles, mounted. They are 20" with 8 paddles. The paddles are the depth of my thumbnail (I don't know the depth of new paddles, so I cannot judge how much wear is on them) One of the paddles has some damage, a V shaped notch about 3 inches wide and half the depth of the paddle. I used them one time and they worked well then. I am located in western kentucky (42088). I have no idea about shipping, havn't checked into it yet, but if you are interested in them, make me an offer. I can get pics if you are interested as well.

out of the 10 or so years I have owned the quad, it has sit for nearly 4 unused, so not a lot of wear.

I will throw in a set of cut rear fenders to the buyer (if wanted)

I will also throw in a twist throttle setup to the buyer (if wanted)

I think it is worth $4000, but I don't know if it would bring that, so make me an offer

I live in western kentucky (42088). I will ship at buyers expense, but prefer pickup. I can meet within 75 or so miles for free, over that, we would have to work something out.

Got any questions, just ask. thanks.

  5. UPDATE: I removed my coil, tested it, it checked ok. While I had it out, I removed the boots and but 1/2 of wire off so the boots had contact with new, good wire. When I put the coil back on, I noticed the black wire's connector was way too loose. I squeezed the connector back tight, made all my connections and it was fixed. It was probably that loose conection all the time. Now, I feel a little stupid for missing it, but relieved it wasn't anything expensive gone bad.

    Thanks for the help guys

EDIT: Now that I actually read the ELE FAQ, I feel REALLY stupid...Q40 was my problem, even down to the female spade connector

Oh BenBB A32 says the coil is held on by a 12mm head bolt, mine was a 10mm, just FYI

  6. I went out to ride one day and the shee cranked fine and ran fine...at idle. When you give it more gas, one cyl misses. I thought jetting first, but I switched the plug caps and it followed the coil wire, not the cyl. I have tried new plugs. I am out of ideas on what to check, and I don't know anybody else around that rides a shee to I can borrow parts.

Any idea on just what to check?

FYI, TORS is gone, modded stock timing plate, stock coil, stock cdi

I hadn't changed anything around the time it messed up, just started suddenly

    Thanks guys

  7. Don't forget about TCS. IMO, comparable to elka, at a little lower price. I purchased mine through CT Racing, but you can also get them from TCS themselves. Sorry, I don't have the number to reach Todd (the owner)....do a search for it and it will come up I am sure.

  8. As some of you know, I had a wreck about 2 months ago. I found another thing that was damaged on my bike. I have a GP Performance clutch perch with the "on the fly" adjuster, single large nut. Well, when I rolled it forward, it bent the adjuster nut at the threads. I was wondering if anybody had an extra one (other brands may work, I am not sure) lying around. I contacted Advantage performance, the distributer for GP Performance, and they said the place they get them from buys them from overseas, and they just come prepackaged, so no luck there. Thanks guys.

  9. elkas rear body is what gets your ride height...my bikes at 9" from the frame at the pegs to the ground.....my revalved stocker has me at 12"s in the same spot...contact elka and ask eric whats up.....the lower height makes your shee a slot car

Hey Blue, is your revalved stocker just been revalved/resprung or does it also have the SSD/SCS/ZPS conversion?

    DUNEDEMON:

I have the TCS SCS on my front, those with my AS +2+1 arms makes it pretty low....I love it. I am just thinking about my rear shock next, that's especially why I am interisted in Blue's answer to the question above.
