  1. I took off the hydraulic clutch and put on a new cable and lever. went riding this weekend and burned up another clutch. this clutch had stout springs way stiffer than barnetts I can barely pull the lever. the clutch was made for up to 100 horses and i'm not making anywhere near that. anyone ever warp a flywheel or inner clutch hub? the clutches always start to slip and the tranny breather starts puking out fluid. I wonder if the oil isn't flowing through the trans like it should and some of it is isolated in the clutch side and overheats ???? I run the blue redline shockproof oil and have been told that no one else has had a problem with it. I'm getting a new basket, inner hub and pressure plate and give it another shot. Thanks for the reply's I dont get online as often as i should....
  2. Anybody use the magura hydraulic clutch with success or problems? I have burned up 4 barnett dirt diggers clutches and have nothing left to blame it on except the hydraulic clutch. I hate to lose the feel and pull of it though.
  3. you didn't say where you ride but for the sand cpi
  4. I had some vitos pistons they ran exellent The biggest difference is the vitos pistons have a cut made on the exhaust side top of the piston that changes transfer timing. Its the same thing as cutting your the exhaust port in the cylinder higher.
  5. I have had lots of similar problems. what happens to me is the clutch gets hot and boils tranny fluid which vents out the overflow. I'm on my fourth clutch now with custom made springs. I have wasted 2 barnett dirt diggers one of them in about 2 minutes. My problem is a combo of tires(I only ride in sand and use 10 paddle taller haulers with kevlar) motor (typical ported 2 stroke gotta keep on the pipe) and bodyweight (270). First thing to do is smell the dipstick. If it smells like hot brakes the clutch is ruined. The first time you get a clutch that hot it is junk. The most obivous thing is clutch adjustment. Line up the arrow on the actuater and the top of the case and make sure that you have plenty of freeplay. the last clutch i ruined did'nt slip that bad but it slipped a little all the time. I let the bike cool off but within 2 minutes of riding it would puke oil again. good luck
