  1. What would be the best replacement reeds for the stock reed cages (fully stock 87) I am debating between boysen super stock carbon fiber or fmf c.f. or any other suggestions. Also is there any thing to watch for when changing them?
  2. my air screws were too rich (bog or doggy when you take off) all it took was slightly more than an 1/8 turn (out or ccw) oh and BenBB is THE SHIT when it comes to jetting
  3. mine backfired once when I was kicking it over WHY??? but it never did when I was running instead of changing jets go to some premix with a higher fuel ratio I run golden spectro (52:1 is what it calls for but I run it at about 42:1 or a little higher) stock with no air lid 180 mains plugs are fine(when the temp drops alot I put the lid back on) If you want to use the stock air box and no lid just drill 2 holes in your filter holder flange(top side) and put some #6 or #8 machine screws through it and the airbox make sure you get a good seal and make sure the filter holder is down in the airbox so that the bottom is tight against the front wall of the box then if you want to still use the airbox lid (colder temps or long higher speed back road cruises) you may have to cut some flanges off of the bottom of the lid. I noticed the powerband hits a little harder and a slight increase in mid range power maybe just enough to blow away that pesky raptor wish I could find him again:angry:
  4. 2 srokes sound better, and the banshee just screams, their easier to work on but 4 strokes have their place I sold my 94 300ex to get my banshee it was better for exploring and making new trails and just sitting back and cruising around on. wish I had both maybe I'll get a thumper someday but I SHURE IN HELL wouldnt get rid of my banshee when shee's on pipe it sounds better than a GSXR (in my opinion)
  5. bignasty1 where did you get that pic of that fine ghetto booty from? the truth now
  6. I heve an 87 (j-arms) the ball joints have a lot of play can they be replaced or do I need new arms?
