  1. This is what too much compression, not enough fuel and lack of knowledge will get the engine your working on. Expensive fix. The plugs are talking to you. Please listen!! Lower the compression and give it more fuel! Back out some of the timing and tweak from there.

  3. All trucks have there problems. I'm a chevy guy. But I would not buy a 2001-2004.5 chevy duramax with the LB7 motor. Those things had/have major injector issues. They fixed it in 2004.5 with the LLY motor. I had a 2001 1500HD silverado. at 105K miles the drive line carrier bearing went out, and the transfer case started leaking. My brother had a 2001 F250 that ate 5 transmissions. Then he had a 2006 F250 manual transmission and it went in the shop over 10 times for electrical issues. My brothers trucks are always bone stock and he drives like grandpa. I drive my trucks like nascar with a ton of 4wd time.

  4. These carbs should work with no problems on your 535. The DM (Dave Moore) powerjets flow ALOT of fuel. I was running them about 1 turn open and still blowing alky out the exhaust. I think moneybags was running them about 1/2 turn open. The only difference between your 535 and my 485 is the stroke. Same bore size. Moneybags was running 300 ft. I used them for sand dragging at pismo, dumont, and Glamis.

  5. I'm pretty sure he was running these carbs on a 465 cheetah cub. The carbs are setup for alky already. These used to be my carbs and I ran them on a cheetah 485. They are great carbs. Since they are PWK carbs you would have to run a lower volume fuel pump then a pumper carb. The dumps are drilled to .125 and not sure what mains he currently has in them.
