My uncle said his 10th grade teacher told him back in 1987 that in the year 2005 there would be a Yamaha Banshee powered by a Polaris Diesel engine !

If I wanted somthing that has so much power it is useless then I would go with This and figure out how to get more RPM out of it. Having a Hayabusa motor in a Shee kind of reminds me of the Big Block Boss Hoss motorcycle idea. To much power

I seen This Auction on eBay and was thinking about buying the bike to play around with and it comes with an extra motor as well. I know it's no powerhouse but it would be different in a Shee (88 model rolling chassis not my 04 of course) anyone ever seen this done?

You shouldn't have any problems.

Ewwwww, doesn't the 01 have the crappy ECU 500 that is hard to remap and just p00p in general? However one good thing is it looks to be in excellent condition. I would trade if you plan to keep the Dale however if you plan to sell it in the future you will get more money out of your SKI than than an 01 Dale.

Well i am going to check out Big Rock ATV Park in Maysville this weekend. I've heard it is pretty good but it's like $15 or somthing to ride there. ATV Park Also if you havn't been to Hatfield McCoy trail system yet it is a must! Awesome stuff

I know some FMF silencers will fit with stock pipes not sure about any other brands. I plan to do pipes and silencers soon but havn't decided yet between Toomey T5s or DMC 916.

I went there over 10 times back in 1998 & 1999 and loved it! All different types of terrain and lots of scenery but very dangerous mostly due to drunk in rail buggies and Jeeps. I don't know how many times I have crested a hill and almost been hit by a railbuggy. I miss it a great deal. I used to live about 20mins from there in London but now I'm about 2 hours away in Northern KY. Back then I had a 250r and a Lakota wish I could go ride my Shee there. Oh well

Okay I have a weird scenario here. I have a bone stock Banshee for now and when my friends and I got out to ride for a day I always get involved in some drag races with them. Thing is I havn't taken the shee out yet to ride with them because I havn't had it long. I need to know what is the best way to launch a totally stock shee on hard packed dirt? I have heard some people say to start in 2nd gear, would this be faster than starting in first? Also should I really wind out the mid range gears like 3rd and 4th or just shift through them as quick as possible? My competition usually consists of Piped Raptors, 400EXs and an occasional V-Force hopefully I can do fair against these. Sorry for the stupid questions guys, just a new Banshee owner trying to get the most out of my machine and embarass some 4-Strokes!

If you are looking to buy new then a KFX400 is a great machine. If used then go with like a 250r or Tecate!

LeadFoot: Now that is a pretty good idea. Kind of like I have seen some Mustangs and Camaros with Nitrous hidden in the trunk in a gym bag! A company called CompuCar I think even makes a kit that comes with a gym bag setup for the bottle

I prefer to have it hidden. i would like to somehow get it under the seat but I do not tink I can fit a 2lb bottle under there. I see that NX makes a 1lb bottle I wonder if that would do the trick?

I was looking at the Nitrous Express kit that ALBA sells and was wondering about different bottle mounting locations? Anyone have nitrous on their Shee and wish to share some pics?
