I have a blue/white 2004 Banshee. I am the original owner. Machine has about 25 hours on it. No cracks in the plastics and no rips on the seat. I've always used Klotz R50 Synthetic and the engine has never been opened. Mods: Metal water pump impeller, Kenda Gnarly rear tires, AC racing swing arm skid plate, geared one notch lower for a bit more low end. Otherwise this machine is bone stock! Even has stock exhaust and air filter! The bearings are all in good shape it runs and rides perfect. The only thing it really needs is new front tires soon (about 35% tread left on the stockers, front lots of asphalt use) It's hard to find a stock Shee around anymore especially one that's never even had new rings. Quick question. I have the chance to pick up a head that has been milled .075" and .25 Degree angle re-domed VERY CHEAP. Machine work is freshly done. I've got an 04 Shee all STOCK. If I bolted this head on and added a +4 timing key would that combo work and what octane fuel would I need to run? I know this isn't the ideal setup considering I don't have pipes or anything but the deal I can get on this is almost to good to pass up. Trying to get the most power I can...cheap!

Well as my first mod I've decided to gear down a bit. I've ordered a Renthal 13T front sprocket that should be in Friday and I'm going to install it myself. Could someone give me a quick explanation of what to do? I would assume I just need to take the cover off the side of the engine to access the sprocket then take the large nut that holds the sprocket off. However will I need to adjust some slack into the chain so that I can get the old sprocket off then install the new one and retighten the chain? Also most importantly anyone know what size the nut that holds the sprocket on is? And do I have to use a torque wrench when reinstalling it? Thanks in advance for the help guys. I owe you

I think it is a 32mm not sure though. Whenever you buy your axle it should come with a new nut. Simply open the box take the new nut off the shaft (it will only be hand tight) and tell the person at the parts counter you need a socket to fit it. They'll be glad to get you one.

I am wanting to get my Stock Banshee head ported and milled and am looking for a good place to do it. I've heard FTZ Performance is one of the best? They want $100 for a complete port and mill on the head. Anyone have any experience with FTZ? Thanks
