My tech 8's are still stiffer then a hard-on. Made me miss a shift drag racing at dusty d's because of it. Almost made me loose to a built up 450r.(still out pulled him after the missed shift)
Now when I ride one of the quads I use my old answer edge boots. I'd like to use the tech 8's. But so far they still aint workin for me. They feel kinda stiff on my bikes too. I don't have to shift my 426 much, but still. After over 1000 miles of riding these things should be broken in.

Do shearers stick out like cpi's do? The only reason I bought toomeys, was because cpi's stuck out too far for trail riding n stuff. Would melt my boots and pants.
I know both would make more power then what I have.

Yeah.. I like my low end, but I think its time for a change. I wanna build some real HP behind my machine. And as much as I hate to say it, its not gonna be with a woods port. Im just changin it up, testing my opportunities. And no, you arent wrong at all. Low end is ideal for a hillclimb, but with all these big motors out and all the different kinds of porting, the woods port just isnt practical in my application anymore. Got great low and mid for trail riding, but wide open throttle is where its at most of the time on the hillclimbs we compete in. Hell, I may regret this new motor Im gonna put together, but I guess I wont know until I try it out.
Are you going to be selling anything from your old setup? Those are good numbers. I think the way it seemed to run would be awesome for trail riding, and racing up bull gap hill.

Might wanna trade your sst's for some fatty's or different pipes. SSt's aren't made to work with ported motors. Make sure you run an outerwear, and have a nossadapter,or a prodesign for the filter to clamp on. Get an aftermarket head, or get your stocker milled.

I was going to have GRR build me a motor but getting ahold of them is impossible, I have left SHIT loads of messages over the last 2 months, hey I aint gonna beg them to build me a motor. So my cylinders are at A&S right now gettin done, little did I know that A&S was only an hour from where I live.

I'll be ready for some action, just like i been doin the last 24 years!!!!!!I actually never been on the black river other than on a boat. But I sure do have alot of weekends, Saturdays and Sundays. Anchor bay is a stone throw from my house.
As for what I run out there..........I have a Bone stock Machz there, well maybe far from stock lots of special things.
As for hookin up I have 2 tracks one for strictly ice (anchor bay and tip-up-town) and one trail. Watch out for those chisels.
We will all have to meet up out there, lots of people but lots of landmarks. Talk to yall later.Pretty sure we'll be staying in grand marias. Its nicer, and cheaper then paradise. I like to stay at the hill top, room with a fridge, calbe,table, 2 full sizes, nice full bathroom, space heater ect. for 75 a night. Everything was redone last year too. The rooms were nice.

Money isn't the problem, getting another toy is. If i could hide it at my brothers house I'd start right now, keep the shee I have now for dinking around on and trail riding. You need to take this pos for a ride and tell me if my curent set-up could use some changes. In the springtime now I guess

Not sure how well I'd get my srx to hook up with trail studs, even running 192 of them. I think for the xcr we still have a low profile with picks. I'll tell mark about anchor bay, and I'll do some testing myself on the srx.

Sounds like you need 2 banshee's if your into drag racing. One for the strip, and one for all around riding. I should find a basket case and go wild with it.

Whats going on locals? The set up that I use is a set of turftamers cut lugs and 1 1/8 steel rotien ice pix. As for the frozen swamp trails in St. Jons Marsh, you wont be turning like you want to with studs. I also have a set of with kold kutters for playin out there. We are usually out there during the winter when we are not in the UP sledding. Considering it's only like 4 miles to the lake from my house. If anyones interested the UP got hit this week with 12-16" in the woods.
Almost time to pull the sleds out!!! Might see ya out there this year!!

If your in michigan, there's a nice 2000 for sale. Has black plastic and graphics and a procuircut exhaust. Different bars. Fresh topend. 2000 or best. Probrably still has all of the stock stuff too.
