  1. Ok so I'm wasting a grand by not shipping. I went in Friday and we talked about my options of parts and milling. He was going to find out better numbers, and hemmentioned something of checking out hot rod cranks. Im back from camping and goin in right now to hear more specific numbers. Thanks for the help

  5. I have a friend that can do it but I don't want.... Also I should add it's already in the their shop... Ripped apart.... Moneys no issue guys I'm in Alberta oil... I just want no hassle of shipping stuff ... I just want my girl back and some advice on certain brands of cranks, pistons, and a New head with some good domes for pumP gas....I shouldn't say Moneys no issue... It always is but u know what I'm saying
  6. Hey hey... Long time member.... Only had my shee since last spring. Just came back from some dunes in Alberta and blew er up there.... No power band hard to start, and a ticking in the bottom end at idle. Brought it to my shop and he said it needs new bearings n some commprendo.... He told me 3000$ and he knows imminterested in a stroking it... My question is what kind of cranks n heads n pistons should I look into?? Lrd pipes, boysen reeds, no cages, motion pro torless kit, high flow impeller. Any advice all you vets... Might I add that I've dreamed bout banshees all my life and now I have one... Life is sweet... Even with a blown shee
  7. yeah yeah ... my dealer figured out, shee's a pro-motion tor'less setup.got a new one on order. soo... should all the wire connections goin to the thumb throttle b disconected? on other note... what do guys have to say bout taking that boost bottle off for more cable clearance, and input on those high flow coolant props, and adv timing? how far into your mods till u consider adv timing. Also I guess I should report how my problem is goin but shee's all ripped apart waiting for cables and I'm on shift till friday..... then I get to spend some time on her
  8. Well I pulled the carbs apart n cleaned them throughly, choke tube is fine if thats the rubber hose connecting carbs or the choke itself...both fine. I guess I could have said that these carbs have that boost bottle. but the boots to hold it r in good shape. If anyone knows anything about these smaller carb tops i have,It would be very usefull. It use's a 8 n 10mm I beleive vs the usual 12 n 14mm. It's sittin @ my dealers right now and me and him are both trying to figure it out, cause the cables just bout toast.Thanx

What we did right away @ camp was... looking @ the sync of the slides...and waste can of carb cleaner on er all apart.and still that day was the worst and made me f*ck with the jetting. got her all apart as we speak(laptop in garage) no scratchs looking in exhaust port,reeds are fine. A tricky note is that all summer I ordered 2 separate throttle cable from 2 separate dealerships for a (I beleive stock carbed)2004 banshee on seperate occassions. Both cables were a 12mm n 14mm to secure the cable assembly to the top of slide/screw top. The one I got off right now that I'm bringin in finally requires a 10 n 8mm. I was told some guys do this to get more out of their slide???
  10. okay...swithed plug wires...same deal...ripped carbs and timing cover off...looked for wear in wires available, none. rust on one tab on the flywheel...could that b it? cleaned it up...but I'm goin in shortly to buy a flywheel puller and new throttle/clutch cables for the tag fat bars I bought... nething to know about setting points/clearance or nething here to aid with my problem here? Money isn't a problem. I love spending money on er. thanx!

Guess I should have said I figure I got at least 20hrs since the rebuild... right b4 we left I through buddies compprendo tester on and was dissapointed...it took a few kicks but the passenger side was 110-115... drivers was slighly over 100...And I was thinkin shee was lean on that hinton ride...but it was runnin good the first few days...and even still there wasn't crazy lean power...during the midst of pullin plugs we put a lighter on that bad side to see if there was fuel on it....nope...I really like that switchin plug wires idea...I got a new voltage regulator on order...could have said that b4 i guesse..shouldn't matter though? I messed up on the topic of this too... It's missin after 1/4 throttle. Like I said my mods are a set of LRD pipes, boysen reeds, and my sleeves are milled a little out from that new top end. thanx a bunch guys!
  12. hey...I need some advice. I'm new to banshee's not new to mechanics. bought er in spring, ran good with 260 mains. needed some compprendo. so i put a new top end, and reeds with it apart. ran fine but fouled the occassional plug on either side(ya I know I shouldn't even be foulin). I just went to hinton AB dunes here and shee ran good the first two days(started acting up on the way back to camp) I had just put some new plugs earlier that trip so I decided to play with the throttle, try to get it hot or something. And what happens is that shee's runnin off one cylinder past 1/4 throttle(passenger side's runnin)I took the carbs off n cleaned em the following morning and packed my other jets in my kit. started fine, idles fine. Go to take off and starts missing. so I went down the 15min trail to the dunes to get er hot. shee still ran bad. but decent enough to get er decently hot. Pulled the plugs n the passenger sides brown, other white. I was scared through I bumped a 270 in that side. still missin but a little better n still white plug. go for the 280 and same thing... worse power so far...barely limped back to camp. I want to know if it could be a timing or spark problem past this 1/4 throttle sh*t. It was runnin awesome for the first few days then that...Shee's got some LRD pipes, boysen reeds, tors are unplugged. hmm hmm hmmm....some advice would be cool...thanx
  13. thats what I guessed and told him, thought it would be like a two into one exhaust. Whats sizes would you guys recommend?..32mm? 34mm? or a big ol 40mm flatside?
  14. me and my cousin were talkin the other day. And he asked me to see what you guys prefure for carb set ups. He wants to see what one big carb will do instead of two lil ones. I asked if he was into top end or bottom end power and he wasn't sayin so...not to much help there. He just asked what u guys prefure. As far as I know he's got 01 shee, fmf fattys, k$n, shaved head 20thou, bored 30over, reed spacers, maybe adv timing. thanx
