Attributing to your problem was the fact that you did not re-jet for the colder temps.
In colder conditions, do you have to lean down or fatten it up? Is it crucial to do so even if you are running a high enough octane?
-
Why do you use blaster pistons. Lighter?
Shorter skirt, enables the use of a big stroker crank, I think.

Blue Deuce,
The highest Sunoco unleaded race gas is 104 octane. All Sunoco race gas above that is leaded.

Donuts, you will not benefit from the higher octane on a stock motor. Higher octane has a slower burn rate and if your motor doesn't warrant the use of high octane, it will slow you down.

OK,
21 CC domes
No porting
No timing advance

Not sure. Whatever Alba sent me with the cool heads are the domes I'm running. I run it on pump gas.

First, if I switch to the high compression domes, what do I have to do besides run high octane, do I need to rejet?
Second, what CC dome do you recommend? Octane is no object, its readily available where I live.
Third, is it worth switching to high compression domes? Will I see a noticable power gain?
Thanks In Advance!

Thank you very much. If your motor is stock and does not warrant the use of "high octane", it will slow you down.
