  1. I rode it around the neighborhood and the problem came back, now with random backfires on the left side. I will take apart my carbs and intake this weekend to see if that revels anything to me. Then maybe i will take the head off and look in the cylinders to make sure everything is ship shape. It doesn't have many hours on it. I only ride it maybe 5 times a summer for 4- to 6 outs a ride since late 2003. But who knows, maybe its time to bore the cylinders to .030 over or something.
  2. maybe once a summer. Not too often at all. normally when i check them out, they are a milk-chocolate colored and dry. Thats about just right from what i am told.
  3. Now I feel stupid. I ran down and picked up some plugs, threw them in, and now its fine.
  4. plug was definately wet. Swapped'em out. Won't even fire up now. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to get some more plugs. You would think with this being my second banshee(i should change my name to 2003shee) and 5th two-stroke that i would have a ton of B8ES plugs lying around, but not one.
  5. welp, i switched the cables ade fired it up. Same problem still there. Could it be as simple as a bad plug? It looks new and shiny. I otta try that.
  6. Good idea, i'll try that right now.
  7. I have seen a few shee's with a 2 into 1 aluminum manifold so they only run one bigger carb. Who makes it and does it work well? Oh yeah, where can i get one?
  8. I was riding my banshee and it started acting like it was out of gas. So, naturally i made sure the gas was on, it was, then i made sure that i had fuel, and i did. It kept running but the left cylinder wasn't firing all the time. Almost like it was being forced to. So i pulled out the spark plugs to see if the left one was fowled. Here is when it gets confusing. The right plug looked normal, blackened with a milk chocolate tip. The left one looked brand new and was wet with fuel. Almost like there was no spark getting to the plug. What do you guys think?
