Sand. Glamis, Pismo, Dumont and sometimes Coral Pink. My paddles never come off!

For the hill like olds, there are many different types of variables that have to be taken into account for someone to tell you the right gearing. Im 210 pounds and my friend is 270, i pull 5 gear with his bike and he can only pull 4th. So it depends on your motor and your weight. Nobody can tell you right of the bat what gear is good for your bike from the info you gave. It takes alot of trial and error to get it dialed in but its way worth it>

Thanks screamimg, i only sand hill drag with my 510 so it would only be used for that. That what i was worring about, the bending of forks. I have to ride out to olds hill and if i screw up for a second going through the dunes, im done.

I put a 4mm hot rod crank into 421 cheetah and you can feel a good deal more bottom end and if i lug the bike it still pulls instead of shifting gears up hills.

Does anyone have the override tranny than can give me the pros and cons about it? I was thinking about doing that with the lockout clutch. My motor has been holding up well so i really dont want to pull it apart unless its really worth it! Thanks!

I welded a metal plate to the front of the frame right under the front nose of the plastic. It fit fine right there and was easy access to recharge the battery again.

Wheatchex, it depends on what kind of ignition you run. I have a msd ignition and run +17 adv. and there is no knocking.

Thanks guys for the help, but i put new plugs in, a new clutch, i have 34mm pjs on there so there isnt any tors and ive cut the key switch wires about 4 years ago. I think its the cdi so im going to take it off my wifes and try that. Thanks again.

What are the symptoms when the seals are going bad?

I went to Dumont this weekend and my bike seemed to fire up when ever it wanted to. I would kick it over 20 or so times and not start. Than i would wait a min. or two and kick it again and it would fire right up! The jetting in the bike has been the same for 12 years, so it cant be the jetting. I was just wonder if it could be the cdi because i only have gone threw one cdi in all my bikes and im not sure what the symptoms could be. Thanks in advance if someone can help!

I was there about a month ago, after coming back from Vegas. Theres no more sand drags there. Only mx racing, which looked like fun. The banshees got out of the gate first but a guy on a raptor preety much spanked everybody. I think it was just the rider.

I bought a set of cases in preety good condition for $120.00on ebay. If i were you i would check that out!

Basically banshee have been the same seen 1987. In 91 the j arms changed to A arms. Electrical fittings change every few years but as for the motor there the exact same.

Klotz is great for alky. I use 927 for my gas bikes. Love them both. But if you think an oil is going to make you have more power, your wrong.

Stan, we go to coral pink in utah and it only takes 12 hours to drive there. So glamis should take you about the same (depending on how far past coral pink you live).

Thanks lefty for the poll!! Holloween is a given. Im going to ride on holloween but were tring to set something up were we actually can all meet up and get a parking space! The dunes wont be torn up and the hill will be easier to race without 1000's of people if we set up an off weekend gig! Anyway this is the poll that will hopefully decide from it!

Banshee 370, what gear are you pulling at comp hill (dumont) with a 16 41. I know your not pulling 5th with a 370 motor. If you are i want to know what mods you have done. Thanks, Sean
