badassbanshee479 Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 I am going to build my own chrome alloy swing arm with the help of the head fabractor at work but my quetion is, I want a +8 swing arm, I measured my stock arm and it is 19" from the center of the axle to the center of the swing arm bolt, so should I just add 8" to it and make it 27" when I build my new one? also who makes good honda style carriers for the banshee? one more thing, how should I determin where to mount the shock tab on the swing arm if I want to make it a "no link style" any help would be great, thanks guys. racer Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 (edited) ep thats pretty much all you do to lengthen it. but remember to add the length AFTER where the rear linkage pivot bolts up. if you dont youll have some fucked up geometry that would almost certainly be unrideable. for the carrier Cotton Eyed Joe makes some great one. hes a member here and will hook you up, as well as having great customer service. badassbanshee479 Posted August 8, 2005 Author Report Posted August 8, 2005 I am going to run 15/44 gearing with my new swing arm, how long of a chain should I get, and what brand is everyone using? Quote
racer Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 im unsure about the length. try the drag forum, they are used to that kind of Q. for a chain, DID gold. hands down. Quote
