ClimbAnyHill Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Nice mod there! So no more key, now you just jump on her and kick it over? Cool!! Quote
TwistedBanshee Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 you can also do it after the plug just incase you ever wanted to put an ignition back on, that is how mine is done. Quote
JET 99 Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 you can still use the kill switch on handlebar... or i am getting ready to wire in kill tether cord too..... have read in here to use the kill switch wiring system to run tether.. tether is normal open so by splicing in to the black and the black /white wire you basically just wire in another switch when activated closes the circuit.... i will take some pics of this also.... JET 99 Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 my dog ran off with the plug ...... right after i snipped it off.....     oh well... thats why its a permenant mod... Quote
fastrthnu Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 I spliced mine on the key switch side so it bypasses the key,. but i can still take apart the harness coupler to make it not start if need be. so its like having a key but not. Makes the handlebars look cleaner. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 I installed a hide a key brackett under the seat, rerouted the key. Removed the bulky original keyholder & yeaup.. Looks alot cleaner up there! Quote
