steady pace nocking in clutch cover

Recommended Posts

When I first got this bike I changed the ringes gave a fast hone new o ring for the vitos hemi head and did two ridesans in two 5 hour rides with no problems.started fine tunning the jetting and a steady nocking started in the clutch cover opened her up and the was slop in the basket and a extreamly loose idoler gear. I installed a new basket and a idoler gear. Started her up and same nocking can it be a bad impeller.

Sal but we dont know how long the bike was low on oil also.

I dont kno if that could have anything to do with the noise we are hearing.

The bike is 80. over with fresh rings/hone and 182psi

Could this be piston slap? How can you tell if so?

thanks

It was only low on oil because I stood the bike up to pressure wash it before bringing it to you and the oil drained out the overflow/vent tube and i forgot to refill it. That's why it is all over the rear shock linkage...just a heads up.
