  1. You may have more than one problem. The hard start could be from the bowls being on the wrong carb. The idle could be from the idle screws needing adjustment. Make sure to double check everything. Just a suggestion.
  2. Like Larry said u need a two way switch. That Is what I did on my brothers bike and it worked great.
  3. yes 250r cable works. that is what i got for my 2-1 set up.
  4. start with the easy stuff first and work your way in from there. if you don't have a manual i would highly recomend you to get one. we can all tell you what we think it could be, but until you get in there and see what is going on we wont know for sure. so get your hands dirty and let us know what you find. good luck
  5. how long did you hold your clutch in for? you might have welded the clutch ball. not 100% sure. but that would be the first place i would look at. some one with more experience will shime in.
  6. I have a coolhed with 18cc and chariot reeds that i bought from kevin, t5's, single 38mm keihin airstriker ,heavy dutty barnett clutch and +4 timming. My sand setup is 22x11x8 10 paddle haulers, 13t front and 44t rear sprockets on stock swinger. When i launch this thing i have to lean over the handlebars and stay close to the tank up to 4th gear to keep it down. (my weight 165lbs). This thing has great bottom end and is a blast to dune, but it does need more top end for the drag race. I also want to thank everyone for their input and guiding me in the right direction.
  7. Thanks for all the input. Now all i have to do is convince the wife that it will be better to spend $1000 + now insted of $300. wish me luck. LOL. will the 4 mil crank also be stonger?
  8. ok guys i need some adivice. My next mod is going to be a dune/port job on my stock cylinders, my question is will i notice a big difference if i also do a 4mm at the same time, or should i just leave the stock stroke. Do u think i will be happy with just the power from porting. Im going to have HJR do the porting. Also the only riding i do is in sand. I appreciate everyones opinion. Thanks Drew
  9. here is a link to a pic of the plug. http://i217.photobuc.../1290730680.png
  10. im running a 50 pilot 1.5 turns out needle ddj in the middle 180 main at sea level. it runs good but my spark plugs are still black (rich) any input on what i should be at on my jetting.
  11. keep in mind love 2 ride the haulers arent going to turn as well as your stars did... but for draging you will notice a HUGE differance in the two thanks bashee- man for your input. i dont mind loosing in the turning area i just want to be able hook up. why have all that power if u cant hook up right when u weigh 150LBS u can throw the shee any derection u want. thanks alot i have made my up my mind on what i want to get from your input. 21x12x8 8paddle .125 douglas wheel.
  12. i might end up going with new wheels so that way i can have an 8" wheel most posts that i read ,alot of u guys are running the 8"wheel that seams to be the perfect size. i was thingking something like 21x12x8 8paddle on a douglas .125 8"wheel rocky moutain is selling the wheel tire package for $199.99. do u thing that would be the best way to go. i do like to drag race not real crazy about jumping that is the reason i want to go with a lighter wheel.
  13. banshe-man what size tire and wheel are u running on your shee that is on your sign?
