What the hell is up with PS now? You have to subscribe just to view the site now? It clearly states that the site is free to view on the registration page so what is up? I guess the greedy just got greedier!! Nothing like paying for a site where the only thing talked about there is BULL$HIT!!!

AMEN BROTHA!!!! If the site didn't delete all the true statements posted there, I can assure you that people would think a whole lot differently!! Why is it that every other site about ATV's does not censor their posts, but his does? Here's one. A person here started a thread that was similar to my post here, stateing the many websites that use millions of more bandwidth then PS that are free. I mentioned this because this is the number one reason why Charlie wants to charge people, because it costs him so much for the bandwidth the site uses. I posted the fact that there are 29 platinum sponsors and 8 gold sponsors that should be bringing him $33,000 in just sponsor money. Within a couple of minutes the post was deleted and this was the PM Charlie sent to me; Obviously this proves that not all of the sponsors are paying him. If this is the case, then why does he have all of them listed as sponsors? As I said, it is to make his website look better then it is. Why else would he list them as sponsors if they are not paying him? He isn't lying. I could tell you many of the sponsors that he lists that aren't paying him. He only puts them on their to look good!! If he is paying $33,000 for a programmer, it is only because no legitamate programmer with any respect for him, would do it for less. I am sure that all of the other ATV sites COMBINED, don't pay that much for sites. He wants people to pay for the privledge of using the private message system but for those of you thinking of subscribing, you should know that he doesn't respect privacy, because he reads peoples private messages. If you are a member there I would be careful of what you say because your private messages are far from private yet he wants people to pay for a privledge that isn't private at all. People would be better off NOT paying for something that should be private, when it isn't. You are better off using outside Email. I could list alot more "stories" but Charlie would claim that they are "second hand" and therefore he doesn't allow them. So instead of stating the stories and looking bad to some, I will ask you to contact some respected people and see what they have to say. Most of these people will probably not say anything because they do not want to start anything but if they had something nice to say, wouldn't they? Contact most of the sponsors on the site and see how many say "I don't want to say anything" instead of saying something nice. Contact ANYBODY that is a respectable builder, manufacturer, track owner or just a decent person you know and see what they have to say. If you find ONE person that is well known and respected that says something nice, please post it here. I bet that we don't see ANY. Now why would someone want to support someone like this? Why is it that PS is the most visited site about ATV's and drag racing, when there are many other sites that discuss the same topics WITHOUT censorship? People need to wake up and start using what is free instead of supporting a site that has to censor any true statement that is made. If the statements are untrue, then the people they talk about should not find it hard to rebutt any bad statment that is made. I am not trying to talk trash about PS, because a site like that would be useful to many people. I just object to a site like that, where the owner needs to lie in order to get people to pay to visit the site, when the obvious reasons to charge people, is to take advantage of them and to make money. If he really had the site to support and promote the sport, he would not charge the users, censor the content and make the site look like something that it isn't. I am sure he makes enough money through the advertising of his business and the promotion of his races. I am also sure that the money he does get from the advertisers that pay him, is more then enough to keep the site up and running. The only thing I object to is him trying to take advantage of its members in an effort to make money, when there are thousands of websites out there that offer a great wealth of infomation, that don't charge a dime to the members that use them. Instead of paying for information (that is biased), people should look for another website that isn't out to charge and make money from its users. If you find a site that is useful and you would like to make a contribution, then that contribution should be voluntary. There is no reason for a website to take advantage of its users, especially when without the users, there would be no website. If you want to pay someone like this, then I feel sorry for you when he turns around and makes the site free again, because like I said, he won't be making any refunds and I can guarantee that the website will never disappear because of a lack of money. NO ONE owns a business that continually loses money, as he claims it has for so long, and keeps on running it. The only reason he is asking for subscriptions, is to take advantage of its members, when there are a lot more websites out there that don't. If he can't collect all of the money from his sponsors and he can't get more sponsors that do pay, then his mismanagement of the site should not be taken out on its members.

Believe me, he isn't the only crook. Most of the people on there are crooks. The really good companies and people don't even go to the site. The funny thing is that most of the sponsors don't go to the site, yet Charlie make them appear to be sponsors, when they are not. He just puts them there to make it appear as if they are. LOL If anyone posts the truth on PS they are banned and their post is deleted. That site is communist, because if the truth was left up, then no one would be paying for it. IMO if something that bashes the site is posted on the site and they delete it rather then try to post something to rebut the alegation, then the post is true otherwise, why do they delete it? They only delete the truth and ban the people that post it!!! The reason so much shit is talked about on that site, is because it is true!!

Like I said, don't count on getting your money back when he makes it free again.

Here are some basic facts. There are many websites on the net that use a million times the bandwidth of Planetsand that do not charge a single cent. Here are just few; Myspace Yahoo YouTube Google These websites make their money from the advertising. Planetsand has 29 Platnium sponsors and 8 Gold sponsors that are listed on the site. Now lets add that up, 29 X $1000 + 8 X $500 = $33,000. I know for a fact that site does not cost $33,000 a year to operate. A post was made in regards to this and it was deleted in less then 5 minutes. Charlie stated that not all of the platnium members have paid him. If that is the case then why are their ads still up. I guess since his sponsors are supossedly screwing him, it is time to screw the members??? WTF The site has over 25000 members. They claim that most people have multiple usernames. I can tell you that that is some BS because they purge any names that are not used often. Lets just say that is true and say that there are actually 10000 members. Most people will probably pay the $25 because anything lower is pretty useless. Well if 10000 members pay $25 that another $250,000. So right now he has $33,000 in paid sponsors and he needs another $250,000 on top of that, just to break even, when there are sites out there that use a million times more bandwith that are not charging a dime!!! Lastly, Charlie claims that up until now, he has been paying out of his pocket to keep the site running. Come on!!! if he needs hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep the site running now, do you honestly think that he has been paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past to keep it running. LMFAO Yeah its not all about the money!!! Poor Charlie, :sad: what a F-ing Crook!!!! If you plan to support that site, I hope his plan fails and they change it back to free again, because I can sure tell you that he won't be sending any refunds and you will be screwed!!!
