i just got my banshee and its gettin a top end bore and rebuild and ive had three 2-strokes in the past and know that they are a pain in the ass!! im sure everyones knows that right? haha. Anyway i was deeply wondering if this banshee is gunna take a shit on me when i ride... i love to ride and do it all the time. So am i better off with like a 400ex or a 450r because im only 14 and dont know enought to fix anything that breaks i know most basics but... my step dad has no interest in motors and he doesnt even have tools so? i want to know is a banshee unreliable for me????? PLEASE HELP ME.

banshee is for sure the easyest to fix when they do break. there are no cams or valves to deal with and parts are cheap. get a manual and just read. once you tear it apart once you can do it in your sleep.

what he said. all you need is that book and to read it. if you dont abuse your banshee and do regular maintenance you shouldnt have any problems. banshees dont swim and like there filter cleaned and the oil changed.

Where to get one of these ''books''? but really wouldnt yal agree that there are enough ppl on here that are willing to help somebody out that he could just make a post on anything he needs to know and someone would help him? i didnt know anything about them a week ago and i've been reading this sight and i've learned ALOT! and when i get the money im tearin into mine. i think banshees are like 350x's and 250r's priceless. they're worth redoing from frame up my $ .02

you can get a clymers manual on ebay. Ebay link

but yes most on here will help you but it kinda sucks running from the computer to the bike only to do it again a few more times. the manual helps and they are worth a frame up rebuild. i think most if not all will agree.

but lemme ask ya this... would you rather a ltr or yfz450 instead of your shee?

cuz for me 2-strokes are headaches cuz my step dad has no interest in motors he doesnt even own a wrench... so i have basic tools but my mom is buyin me a snap on rollin chest with pretty much everythin in it ya need... so im a kid who knows basics but cant open the motor cuz once i screw the motor up i have to bust my ass to scrape up some money to get it fixed thats what im gettin sick of... so is a banshee right for me?

2 Strokes are an easy fix. As said, get that manual & some tools. Get in there and wrench it up, if you have a problem post it up and some one will help you fix it!

some actual confident motivation... thanks man! but somethings go wrong (with my luck) like right now i have not even ridin my shee i got it a week ago and the cylinders came all scarred so its gettin i think they said a 66mm bore which stock is 64mm so its not much and when this happens your burnin a hole in your pocket hahah
