CaptTrevStarr Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 just ot done rebuilding my shee...added modquad head and boysen reeds...cant get it to run right...engine starts...when you rev it up it will stay reved and then slowly make it way down to an idle.....ive checked for leaks but still to no avail....any ideas?... thank you trevor ps still running stock carbs Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 Sounds like a jetting and idle problem. When the idle is high, you give it gas, and it stays revved for a little bit before coming down. Look there first, try adjusting as needed. Quote

CaptTrevStarr Posted August 15, 2008 Author Report Posted August 15, 2008 sounds to me like you either have a leaky intake gasket or thesprings inside your carbs are in a bind. list all the mods done to your bike. pos boost bottle mod quad head with 21 cc dome toomey t6 full exhaust kn filter wiseco stock pistons removed tors at a loss here...check for leaks..and there was none...just seems odd everything ran great up to the point of droppin a ring..no cylinder scores thank god....drop in the new mod quad head and domes and now it dont wanna idle. took everything back to stock as per the manual and still wont run right...thought i was on to something lastnight but i was wrong.....PLEASE HELP!!!
