Something Wrong with my Clutch

I just purchased this quad not too long ago went riding in the woods a few times, i let my friend borrow it, he bent the axle and broke my bearing carrier on a small tree going around a turn... Long story short my quad didnt ride after that. The quad starts up no problem i can shift the gears with or without the clutch when the quad is off and whenever the quad is running in neutrel and i go to put the quad into first, after i pull in the clutch which still has the same tension as before this accident, the quad just stalls as if the clutch isnt working..
