right side not firing(but backfiring)... pulled the plug and it was CAKED... so i switched it out and it was still not firing... changed the plug again and switched the wires... right side was still not firing(so that should rule out the coil) havent checked the reeds yet... figure the reed could be fucked and pushing too much fuel without air and not allowing the spark to ignite... but if the reed was stuck open wouldnt it backfire though the carb?

by the way it wouldnt be a carb problem, as i am running a 2 into 1.

any thoughts?

ugh...man im new to banshees and all but not to motors. But i dont know if u got fire out of both wires then any amount of fuel gettin in there should fire. Might run like shit but it would fire. The reed would be the quickest thing or you could have a blown head gasket on the right side...thats all i can really think of if your gettin good fire outta the plugs. Do a compression check and see if it the head gasket and then check the reeds.

Smell the plug, see if you can smell burnt gear oil or tranny fluid. A bad PTO side (clutch side) crank seal will allow the crank to suck tranny fluid into the chamber and try to fire on it. And they don't run on tranny fluid...LOL. That will cake your spark plug in a hurry...and cause it not to fire the fuel/premix/air in the cylinder.

Just a possibility....

if your running a 2-1, then it will be easy to check the reeds... check em. and also check compression in both sides and compare.

what dajogejr suggested needs to be done also, as you could have some issues in that cylinder.
