rtcc Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Hey guys, The last time I went riding I noticed that if I pull straight up on my bars they will move about an 1/8th of an inch. They make a kinda of knocking sound. I figure it just the bearing worn out but Im not sure what to buy or if the bearing kits are exactly what I need. It only gets rebuilt down on the very bottom right? The collor just lets it slide through?? thanks Quote
endofitall9 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 sounds like that is what it is..they are locked in by like nut with threads on the outside because th threads are on the housing mine is a 2001 and we ended up having to cut the nut out..and i had to buy a new one. just make sure before you even attempt to try and back the nut out that you let it soak with some good lube and make sure you clean the threads extremely well....
