banshee2 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 looking to install a new rear shock not sure how does any one know thanks Quote
bonbon Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 set your bike up on a stand on the frame so the swingarm is hanging. Take out the bolt that holds the dogbone linkage to the swingarm. Take out the bottom bolt for the shock. Take out the top bolt for the shock. I just swapped mine out yesterday. Go in reverse to put it back together. Quote

bonbon Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 yea got a diff one off ebay did you try adjusting the compression damping (i think thats what it is called) with the little dial on the reservoir? that should slow it down from bottoming out on you. It will still go down easy at first but will get harder quicker, at least that is my understanding. maybe somebody with a little more suspension experience will chime in. Quote
