Slayer1018 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I couldn't see spending $850 on a rear Elka shock so the mechanic at Yamaha recommended Race Tech's Gold Valve. Anyone have experience w/ these? He said my rear shock would be just as good as WORKS after the installation.. $168 is much better than spending even $600 on a WORKS.. Quote

PM gimeeabeer on here, he has fooled around with alot of those things with a bit of success. He has a pretty hardcore internship this summer, so we don't seem him around here as much as we used to. Keep in mind you need to probably get a different spring as well. Quote

We have one of the best mechanics around here who has done work for a local who has beat Tavis Cain, Dana Creech, Harold Goodman.. Check him out.. He is the guy on the ATK.. John Nadeau..
