shovelhead
Can you powdercoat over top of powdercoat? without sanding it or blasting it off? Just curios
YamahaMama
I believe they will make you sand blast it off. I had a frame that was powdercoated and the guy had to sandblast it cuz it was red then powdercoated it. If you find a place that can do they should be able to sand blast it and powdercoat at the same place thats what my guy doens.
NitroTate
It can be done but it's definitely recommended that it is sanded or lightly blasted to allow the next coat to "grab" on. The main risk you take is that the original coat is really the determining factor for durability. If the original coat was shotty and weak and lets go then the new coat is not as likely to hold on. If its a good first coat and the new coat is done correctly it should be fine so the answer is yes you can PC over PC.
