tooez Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Is their any advantage from the one piece head or the 2 piece head. Or is money better spent on 4mill crank and stock head cut to work. thanks. EZ Quote
theshee Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 well... they kinda do different things. a coolhead has removable domes so you can change the compression and change them if they get pitted by something. You can also get cut domes for the 4 mil crank so you dont have to run a spacer plate... Quote
tooez Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 I have seen a 1 piece cool head and a 2 piece cool head is one better than the other. thanks 1 piece http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-Coo...0QQcmdZViewItem 2 piece http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...0QQcmdZViewItem Quote
TomDickNHarry Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 by the loos of it i would have to say that the 2 piece would have better cooling effiency over the 1 piece.... Quote
Chariot Performance Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 by the loos of it i would have to say that the 2 piece would have better cooling effiency over the 1 piece.... Not true. Depending on the design either work well. Pro design is a terrible head for cooling or performance. The design does not force any coolant into the cylinder it just floats around the dome area. Perfromance comes from cooling around the exhaust. Our head (chariot) is a good one piece design and works great. If you want a two piece go with our competitor (noss). Noss heads work great as well. Stay away from modquad or pro design neither of them are as effective. Quote
zach45 Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 i would go with the 2 peice noss head like i have.. i like the look of it better.. my friend has the 1 peice head you posted made by the man who posed above me..i installed it for him and a well made product and my friends bike runs mint... i think you will be happy with any of the 2 that you posted.. tooez Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Posted April 18, 2008 Hey guy's thanks for the replies and the honesty. Both seemed to be a good choice. I will be buiding a new motor and just want to see which way to go. I got two extra motors and was going to build one up to swap with mine. No down time. Thanks EZ Quote
