jharader Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Buddy of mine recently purchased a 92 banshee, it will start and run, but bogs out MAJOR passed 1/4 throttle, went through the entire intake side and external electronics.... Then i pulled the left side cover off and dumped water out! entire flywheel was covered in rust, pickup coil was rusted, amazed it would start... Heres what it looks like, think this could be the bog'n prob!? Anybody got a stator,timing plate, flywheel? Quote
sinisterboo Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 just clean that one up real good. mine did the same thing. bought a adjustable stator plate and went to put it on, took off cover and water went everywhere! i was looking around for a fish to be floppin on the floor! anyway, long story short, i cleaned all the contacts, put it back together, and well, no problems yet. just make sure you squeeze some silicone off in the rubber grommet the wires go thru, and make sure your rubber cover gasket is good, then this wont be a problem again. now if i could just figure out wifeys bikes problem............
