Can you powdercoat stock aarms? i know there is a plastic cup in the balljoint... i was wondering if it would melt at 400degrees??

No typically you can't but if the coater wanted to use a baking lamp it could be done. Also there was someone on here about a month or so ago that said his powdercoater "found" a way to do it but I don't think we ever found out how...

hmm... id like to find out how its done.. i mean, i could always take the ball joints out and reweld them in... but thats such a pain in the ass... ive done it to two uppers on my shee... some may say its not safe, but i trust my welds 100%... just wondering if there was a less... complicated way...

Really the easiest way is probably going to be a baking lamp. It would be best if it were one of the much higher wattage ones that use 220 volt to run.

You mean to buy one yourself? I think they are around at least $600. I had a friend (before I got into PC) do a frame for me with one and it really did kick ass on the frame in the open air. So I went out and bought a littler one that ran off of 120 v thinking it would work almost as well and it wasn't even worth the $200. I ended up selling it.
