someone82 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 I recently purchase my first banshee ('96) and man did i forget how much I love 2 strokes (I used to ride a kx250 but now i've been playing on a raptor 700r). The motor had been rebuilt right before I bought it; with a mild port, boyeson reeds, toomey t-5's, and pwk 28's. I added reed spacers so the overflow's would clear and milled the head .020 (compression test: 145psi) and it's still stock bore and stroke. Oh and it's got a stupid boost bottle on it which i need to get rid of. Anyway it's got a slight bog right off the line and I just want to get this puppy dialed in. It runs like a raped ape tho when you get it on the pipe, I am running rich just from checking my plugs (close to the point of fouling). Last I live down at sealevel here in ventura, ca but I primarly ride up at gorman and i'm running 32:1 yamalube with 91. Whats in the carbs, i don't know I haven't had the time to pull them apart, so any starting advice would be awesome.
