tidos76 Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 ok guys i fired it up today. and here is the deal. it idle's ok but dogs when i give it gas. its spitting ALOT of fuel out the left side and no fuel(but good smoke) on the right. i have stock carbs done by grr. mains are at .110(same size as dumps) and i'm usure of the pilots size. why would it spit out one side and not the other? dajogejr Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 What size pilots... To be honest, not very many people run stockers on alky...the guy that sold them to you on PS can probably give you better direction... Quote
4stroker Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 have you done something silly like put the slide in backwards in the left carb? (mustnt have if its idling ok...) are the slides in sync? (open at exactly same time) float setting too high in the left carb? were the jets and dumps reamed and radiused or just drilled? there could be a difference in size if they werent reamed but it would have to be real bad to be the cause of this problem, and from what im told methanol is pretty forgiving in cases like that... try swapping the jets and dumps from left to right and see if the symptons swap sides too Quote
