Ok so im hoping someone might be able to help us figure this out..

My friend just bought an 05 banshee from a dealer and it looks in really good condition for example it doesnt look like a lot of wear just by looking at that plastics rubbing on the frame and looks like it had low hours. Anyways ever since he bought it heres whats been happening..

A. It was bone stock at first and when he got it it would run good for like 90 seconds and then would stall or if you try and rev it would bog. We would wait 4-5 minutes as the bike could repeat the process.

B. So we thought maybe it was something in the carbs - now we were going to pipe and jet it anyways so we pulled it apart and the carbs looked good - we piped it jetted it and STILL same problem.

C. He had a friend take a look at it and he disabled the throttle sensor and heres where it gets wierd. It ran good they took it out ran good for a day and when the bike got home the same problem came into effect.

SO I ASK PLEASE DOES ANYBODY HAVE AN IDEA AS TO WHAT MIGHT BE GOING ON , , , THANKS IN ADVANCE.

You need to disable ALL of the throttle sensors.

The two on top the carbs, the brain under the gas tank, the wires going into the throttle, and the wires coming off the parking brake. Disconnect ALL of them.

Parking brake sensor. Simply adjust the parking brake so the little lever on the clutch perch returns completely and that should fix you up. It will induce a rev limiter circuit when the PB is on or not adjusted properly.
