twostroketerror Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 this is my 2nd banshee. the first 1 i had just had basic bolt ons and was what i called fast (not really). the shee i have now has a long rod kit w/usual bolt ons on it. i ride with a couple of guys who like to talk trash about how fast thier "junk" is. im more of a woods/trail/jumper not really a drag race guy. (if im drag racin im gettin on my busa). however, with drag racin in my background i got tired of the trash talkin and got on here to see what to do to make my shee run. after searchin around on here i decided to get a cool head w/18 cc domes and a timing plate +4*(110 octane fuel). just got everything back together today and all i can say is damn this mother will roll. when i first got on it it was spinning its a** off through the first 3 gears (on pavement) and held the power all the way to the top of the powerband. cant wait to get on those b******. only problem now is traction. i know it isnt a drag banshee but i just wanted to say say thanks to the guys that replied to my threads and helped me decide on which way to go. so...thanks Quote
dajogejr Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Play with air pressure, gearing or slipping out the clutch to get it to grab a little...and you'll be even faster... You're losing ground spinning the first three gears. Quote
