I dont want to start asking the same questions that have been answered a million times but Im looking for some good suggestions on the specific mods you think I should do and what can really be expected from them. No bullshit please, I dont have the time or money to waste on things that wont perform.

First off what I looking to end up with is a machine that can be used for hardcore trail riding (like gncc) but I want to get as much acceleration out of it as possible and still keep it very reliable.

Basically have a stock machine with pro circuit pipes.I of course want a cool head and aftermarket impeller,ported cylinders(is there really a big difference between trail/dune port and drag port)Possibly a big bore kit?(not a cub or t-rex, dont have jack for that)What pistons are good and what are not,What are the best carbs(pwk or mikuni and what size)etc.

I just want to know what you think the best combination is and what brand of parts I should go with(like the head). I cant get a stroker crank right now and Im not sure I even want one but I dont mind spending the money on good parts as long as I end up with a machine that will preform reliably day after day and have enough power to actually get me excited again(scared would be nice).My goal is to be able to pull the front wheels in the first few gears and go like a bastard. Get you a 4mill crank that drops right into the stock cases since you don't have to trench them out. Maybe get a nice dune port with some wiseco pistons noss cool head and some PWK's. You said you didn't want to drop a crank in but if your wanting it to scare the shit out of you and perform like you explained then your wasting your time doin all that other stuff without a good crank. That's my opinion if i was wanting to build something. Jamey (RIPPEN) on here can tell you the best settup to go with cause that's all he does is trail, hill, and some drag. He has a 4mill that rips

I bought a what they claimed was a used 4 mill crank off ebay a while ago. I came with a plate but there are no markings or numbers on the crank so Im not sure how to identify it and it needs to be taken apart anyway.I didnt know what kind of a job it would be to drop one in so I wasnt going to do it but mabey I should. I would just buy a new one if I were to do that.Thanks.
